Just purchase keyboard S88 and trying to start for the very first time.

  • komplete control application is runing properly
  • keyboard is recognized by Komplete Kontrol
  • I can hear sound when clicking on an instrument in the komplete control application

BUT I have No sound coming from the keyboard itself !

probably an issue with some MIDI tuning, but I did not find the solution in the different menus of Komplete kontrol yet. Trying different restart combination also, always the same issue...

Anybody have an idea ?

Remark : I'm surprised that there is no clear instruction for the very first start with an equipment of that price.

When you click a preset in the left side list, are you Double-Clicking it to then load that sound so you can play it with the keyboard and is the plugin loading?

If so, have you checked in Preferences on the MIDI tab that the port for the keyboards MIDI input is selected? Does it appear as an option?

Your post lacks a lot of important information including info on platform and OS version info and what you have actually installed on computer and how installation went.

Looking at your profile I can see that you in profile info have given the information of platform to be Mac M1 , that's nice thank you !

Please make sure that the S88 external power-supply is attached and then try the following trouble-shooting steps :

My Native Instruments Hardware Device is Not Recognized

    https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/4410096148113

Especially notice point 5 and check if the The NIHardwareAgent or NIHostIntegrationAgent services are running in the background

Also , you must have downloaded and installed the latest version of Native Access for Mac silicon :

    Native Access 2 / 3 :

    https://www.native-instruments.com/en/specials/native-access-2/

    OR

    https://www.native-instruments.com/en/support/downloads/

After any install then please reboot computer. Some Native Access software operations may require that you log out of Native Access , reboot and log in again to make sure system is updated properly !

If the above trouble shooting does not help then please proceed following these trouble shooting steps :

Optimizing the Settings for Your Native Instruments Audio Interface (in particular be sure that you are using the ASIO audio driver!)

Further help regarding computer performance issues and other audio problems can be found in the Mac Tuning Tips for Audio Processing article.
