I have tried the suggested workaround and unchecked the LOAD ONLY INTO STOPPED DECKS option. It has worked fine so far, but I have not used it so much since then. At least not enough to be a testament to the efficiency of this alternative. Joust thought that if enough of us try it, we can get some feedback and see if it works.

    #same - i got BOOD!!!! How embarrassing.

    M1 Ventura

What is yall's plan B? Since we can't look like incompetent Djs in front of hundreds of people.. What are the alternatives and how much are they going to set us$ back? Buy a windows machine? Switch to a completely different set up and lose YEARS of data and playlists?

#NI you've lost a trove of loyal users.

    Are you kidding me?

Happened yesterday to me. With M2 14" 16GB Macbook Pro.

Song was playing, Traktor crashed to desktop. The file is not broken, corrupt or anything. I played it before on a windows system and after the crash i could play it as nothing ever happened.

This is serious and not acceptable at all. If this wont be fixed asap, i definately move on to serato.

I would really recommend to disable „Loading only into stopped deck“.

Since then I had no crash anymore on my MacBook Pro M2 on Ventura.

I did also play whole Nights with a S4 MK3.

    Hope this helps you too.

Oliver, I checked the setting, it was ALREADY disabled :( So I am crashing still.

I am going to use an old machine as a back-up until I can get some clarity on another possible fix, as in rolling back software perhaps? I don't even know how to do that. How do we get someone from Traktor to respond?

I wish NI would realize this is a problem. I'm on an M1 with a freezing issue and audio drops. I've tried every trick from unchecking load on stopped deck to analyzing the whole library. Even with the brand new traktor update I still have the same problem. It's random, but it's almost always around a 3 hour mark. Support has been weeks between our chats with copy-and-paste fixes. I know I'm not alone, but it hurts every time it feels like I'm the only one, in NI's support's eyes, with this problem.

I‘m really sorry to hear that.

The next thing I do before I start Traktor:

A Restart from the MacBook, because when you open it, it seems always to be in a kind of sleepmode to start immediately.

I‘m on the latest Ventura and I have also deactivated the sleep Mode of the SSD and all the Energy Settings.

But maybe I have just luck with it.

For me the crashing started as I changed to the M Processors of Apple and the time Traktor was supporting these natively.

And yes it was always after hours of playing.

I am a product owner myself and come from a software development background. And I am also irritated about the lack of communication by the team on this topic and in general.

I suspect that they are very busy with development of Traktor Pro 4 at the moment. This is probably why there has been also no update to the roadmap for the fourth quarter so far.

Unfortunately, there was no log file from Traktor that I could have made available to the team during the crashes, so I also understand it is certainly not easy to find the cause. But it would just be nice to get a reaction as a customer, especially if there is a thread in the forum with the term „Crash“ in its headline.

Let‘s really hope there is a good reason for this silence by them.

Oliver. Thanks for the heads up on Pro 4. I hope it comes for christmas. LOL

Another thread about the crash mentioned rolling back to Rosetta. What is your opinion on that?

Hi guys i fixed the crash"maybe":

-disabled analyze new track in file management

-check consistency about the entire track collection.

    -delete and relocate missing tracks

After that i had made three djset during the weekend, every each set long more than 4 hours.

    Love all

    Peace

    Mike

Hi Special K, I have never used Rosetta with Traktor but yes that could be an idea, because I had never experienced this crash with Intel based chips, this means with a Traktor Version with wasn’t build for the Apple Silicon Chips. But I‘m using also X1 mk3, so I want to stay on the 3.10 Version of Traktor, which is in this case natively supporting the Apple Silicon Chips.

The Last Time I had this crash, I was about to load a Track in a stopped Deck, the Track wasn‘t loaded and the Traktor Decks stucked. I was able to immediately open the Settings and could disable the „Only loading into stopped Deck“. Interestingly Traktor didn‘t crashed this time and I could continue to play. So I suspected this could be part of the Problem. Also I remember there is an old bug regarding this Loading Setting.

For now, the restart before opening Traktor and the disabled Loading setting caused me no crash anymore, and I‘m playing every Weekend several hours. Maybe the refactoring of the code or the natively support of the Silicon Chips did break something. But it‘s really difficult to reproduce this crash, in my case the Tracks aren‘t corrupted for sure. And I‘m doubting the steps DJkrazo noted, nothing of these could be a cause in the crashes I experienced because this was always fulfilled by me.

    Hi,

i have got the same problem here on my MacBook Pro with M1Max. The random crashes came with the native Apple Silicon Support (Version 3.9.0). I had contact with the NI Support weeks ago, but the troubleshooting guide is not helping. It's completely random and Traktor crashes down to the Desktop. When i reopen Traktor and play the same file it is working. So it's not due to any corrupted files. Is it possible to downgrade to 3.8.0? It's really annoying and embarrassing when you suddenly look like an idiot during your set. So pls NI help!
