maschine mikro or launch pad pro

I love both Ableton Live and Native Instruments. I have Battery 4, Damage, Studio Drummer, Drum Lab, Butch Vig Drums. Upgrading to Damage 2. Trying to bounce this off somebody.

Many variables, but let’s focus only on one: you named a lot of drums/percussions plugins, so I would say Mikro.

If you had said “I love to launch clips in Ableton made with these plugins” I would have said Launchpad

I can agree with that. I did searches on this question on both Bing and NI Community. I read other peoples posts but they were a bit older so I had to get a fresher opinion.

Both good controllers, Launchpad a little more flexible (to use with many apps), Mikro a little more focused (well integrated with NI).

Let’s take a couple more things in consideration:

You grab Mikro, you play (mainly with the apps it is made for)

Launchpad… you’ll probably end up having to make some more midi assignments (unless you use it only for Live)

Mikro: more tied to a computer workflow

Launchpad: you can also easily use it with a phone or ipad

In the end, it depends on what you are really looking for
