Control external gear with KKS49 mk2 without daw

Hello everyone,

I have a simple question but I’m not able to find any answer to it anywhere on the internet.

I want to use my KKS49 mk2 keyboard to control external hardware synth directly via MIDI cable without any DAW or computer solution.

I’m properly using the NI alimentation with the keyboard disconnected from USB.

It starts well but the experience stop here..

Every MIDI connection is ok, all my hardware setup is connected together and MIDI messages works properly.

I don’t find anywhere how to configure the MIDI OUT channel or other parameters on the keyboard.

@Zobilamuche There can only be one template stored in the keyboard when not connected to a computer, it should be the one loaded when you turn the device off or disconnect it from USB.

What you need to do is setup the parameters as a template using Komplete Kontrol on a computer, then you should be able to use them without a PC attached when you do not have anything connected to the USB.

Unfortunatly this does not work:

As many templates I create using the KK application, anytime I start the keyboard using external alimentation (wich seems to be necessary to use it sending data throught MIDI DIN cable), with USB UNPLUGGED, the keyboard just start in some factory standard mode sending only MIDI NOTES data on MIDI CHANNEL 1.

Impossible to navigate through my template list or to assign specific MIDI CC messages to the knobs/buttons.

I'm starting thinking it's impossible to achieve..
