Hi guys.

just bought an M32 HW controller from Ebay and want to regester the keyboard to my account?!

seller gave me 2 registration codes. One is the change of owner the other is the alredy registered code. see pic.

the re-register code is in lower case digits with the first set of numbers too long for NI native access!

thanks.

@Sunborn Even if not condescending, as I said somewhere else, it's also nice just to be kind. I would have said "it's not a good idea" instead of starting by "it's very wrong". You can understand that it's not very welcoming. I guess we should add bonus points for kindness.

First of all, it is very wrong to post your serial numbers in public! Anyone could copy this and use it!

For transfer ID's you don't go to Native Access, but first, you should login to your account and go to Transfer section.

When the transfer is complete, then you go to Native Access and use your serial.

    First of all!!!

1: Please do not treat me like a child! The first part of your reply rhetoric is condescending and patronising!

2: Its probably NOT wise to print a reply on how to be nefarious in the public domain. I suggest you PM the person (email), on their wrong doings, or do not start the conversation with a negitive!

    Advise on removing the message?!

If someone states the obvious out of good will and you find this "condescending and patronizing", well, this is definitely a teenager's reaction and not an adult's one. I do not have any obligation to PM to strangers. You came here for an advice, we will gladly help you if we can, but we are not here to please your oddities or to satisfy everyone's whims! We will talk and write as we learned while we grow up. Freely. No further help from me.

    Let's calm down.

@WANGCHUNG What Sunborn said was not meant in a negative way. The thing is: Once you post any type of code (be it serial numbers or transfer IDs) meant for your eyes only, literally anyone can come in and claim it as this forum is a public space.

We don't "treat you like a child", we just want to inform you (and hopefully prevent something bad).

Either way, you may want to read this thread as it contains helpful information:

    My dear @Jeremy_NI,

I really understand your point of view, but in my defense i will try to make you understand mine.

It is not a matter of kindness. I have a lot of good friends worldwide who they consider me as a very kind soul. It is a matter of language and perception.

I am a Greek, and even if i speak very good English, before i write or say something, i am thinking in Greek, i can't help it. In Greek language the expression "it is very wrong" does not consider as rude or some kind of unkindness. It is just a simple and very common expression that everyone use, and no one feels offended by it.

However i understand that this, may not apply to other cultures, thus i promise to be more careful in the future! 🙏

    ____________________________________________________

That said, and on a more philosophical level, i would like to add few thoughts:

The word "wrong" exists as opposite to the word "right" and every word has it's purpose. Words were created to be used and to help us to be precise in our expressions, so the others can fully understand us. I find it very tragic when we sacrifice the richness and complexity of a language or culture (any language or culture) for the sake of some supposed politeness, which, after all, it is questionable because it can be fake, hypocritical and not from the heart or from natural kindness. Especially on the internet we can never know for sure, because we don't have our interlocutors in front of us, to look them in the eyes.

Peace and a great evening to all 🙏
