hello, I have Komplete 13 standard. when I downloaded it I made the mistake of putting Kontakt 7 player on my Mac. I realised that the player will not access all the K13 products / files so I have uninstalled Kontakt 7 and attempted to install Kontakt 6.8 that I assume came with Komplete 13 but it does not seem to have loaded. Any ideas as to what may be wrong would be much appreciated. I have an Intel Mac, using Protools Studio. thank you in advance.

FYI, we found the reason of the absence of Kontakt 6 in Protools on @AA9 M1 Mac. Kontakt 6 is not M1 native compatible and will not be updated, to show it would need to run ProTools in Rosetta mode. How to Open Your DAW Using Rosetta

You should be able to have Kontakt 6 and also Kontakt 7 player installed together (even if some users report conflicts when having them both at the same time)

Thank you. so that I did not have any issues, ironically I uninstalled 7, but 6 is nowhere to be seen in PT. though it is in applications as a stand alone. the reason I did this is because I could not upload a couple of piano instrument in Kontakt. I assumed that because 7 was not the full version, only a player, that it would not allow it. Is that a correct assumption? perhaps its protools, I've found it incredibly buggy.

You should check what version of Kontakt is needed for those piano libraries (full or player). Usually manufacturers state it in the description

thank you. they're the pianos that came with Komplete 13. but the issue is that Kontakt 6 is not showing. I believe there is no easy way to delete Komplete otherwise I'd do that and start again. Perhaps I'll have to upgrade to 14 and start again.

After releasing Kontakt 7, Kontakt 6 appears as Kontakt. Check this article it might help you:

    https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017789138-My-NI-Software-Does-Not-Appear-in-my-DAW

Yet, going back to an older version it shouldn't be an option. Kontakt 7 is able to play anything from the older versions. Unless of course if you try to play a FULL Kontakt 6 library with the PLAYER Kontakt 7. But if you have full version of Kontakt 7, then it can play anything and you don't need Kontakt 6 at all. However, if you had Kontakt 6 Full version and now you have Kontakt 7 player only version, you should either upgrade to full 7 version, either completely uninstall Kontakt 7 player and stick with your Kontakt 6 full version.

yes I understand all of that, thank you. I am going to upgrade I think it's the easiest way around this a Kontakt does not appear at all in plugins.

    thanks again for your help.

Thank you Jeremy. A good reason to have upgraded to komplete 14.
