Midi in out with sound card

Hello, are there performance drops if the s49 is plugged into the midi in and out sockets of an external sound card with of course the s49 plugged into an external power supply and the sound card plugged into the pc?

The speed of data transmission via midi is as fast as USB?

Is the display of plug-in images preserved?

@Delacroche Only MIDI information is transmitted through the 5 pin MIDI cable, so that means no integration with the Komplete Kontrol plug-in, no light guides, no icons, no pre-mapped controls.

A thing to take anyway in consideration: even if plugging 5 pin midi cables, in the end the signal will be sent from your audio interface to the computer through the usb cable, isn’t it? ☺️And usb cable has a couple (or more) of advantages: it’s bidirectional (one cable for in and out), it powers your device and using an USB cable for a device that allows it free up the 5 pin of your interface (and the ones of the keyboard) for ulterior devices that has ONLY 5 pin connections
