Saving CPU Power?
"To save memory, make sure to deactivate unused pickup and microphone signals instead of only turning their volume knob down, as each active signal requires a share of your computer’s memory."
Hey, all:)
The above quote is on page ELECTRIC SUNBURST DELUXE manual. I admit to being a beginner here, but how do you deactivate the unused pickup and mic signals?
For the mic signal there is a red box to check/uncheck. I assume that toggles off/on. But I cannot seem to find how to turn off any unused pickup as the manual suggests.
Any insights appreciated.
Thanks, all:)

For start: Memory and CPU are two very different things!
To say it simple: Reducing Memory sources does not affect CPU use and reducing CPU sources does not affect Memory use. Which is your case?
Apart of that, a generic rule is, to deactivate some of your audio ins/outs. And check your audio latency, if it is too low and your CPU is not powerful enough you will have problems.
If you can be more specific about what is your goal, what are you trying to do, forum members may provide you with more details and possibly a solution.

Thank you, Sunborn, for the response and info. Much appreciated.
I apologize for my lack of clarity. My goal is to reduce my CPU usage when possible. I am using a 5-year-old Intel i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.60 GHz, 4 cores, 8 threads.
I am trying to educate myself and get the most life I have left out of my comp before I have to upgrade. My projects are seldom more than 6-8 tracks at this point. I am aware of audio latency and am experimenting with my buffer settings to get the best results.
Thanks again for the insight and input.
