Can Kontakt 6 still open Gigastudio files?

Searches online indicate it used to, anyway, but it's not showing mine if I navigate to them via Files :/

I don’t think Kontakt 6 ever imported Gigastudio samples, it was removed at some point in version 5.

The keyword „Gigastudio“ found no entry in any of the 6 pdf manuals of Kontakt 6.

Old version 5 could import gigastudio libs without copy protection. I did that, but then found many of the modern stuff like pianos outstrip the old samples. Other stuff like eastwest choirs i have with the play engine now. Same with my old akai libs. Beyond nostalgia, i found modern stuff soundsbetter. Sorry, not much help, just comment from old dude who used to import samples in kontakt a lot.

That's helpful. I was attached to one or two instruments, and had a bit invested I'd rather not re-invest in :) Wonder if I can d/l version 5 still...?

If you own a Kontakt 5 license:

• (I think you can use either one.)

As NI doesn't sell Kontakt 5 anymore, all you can do is trying to buy one second-hand in case you do not own it.
