Razor: Unlimited partials ?
Hello !
I saw a video from the youtuber/artist AU5: it shows that he can change the behavior of the synth RAZOR, but you need to be a reaktor full version user...
Can you make an update for a choice of RAZOR version between the normal/legacy and a version with unlimited partials and a prevent for high consumption of cpu usage when you switch.
Maybe you want keep this option away from RAZOR's user which doesn't have full version of Reaktor but it's just an idea =)
And thanks for your amazing work to the Native Instrument team !

You can't just change partial count by changing no of voices though, you have to go into the 3 sine banks in the synth module and increase partial count in each of those, and a couple of other tweaks too as per the tutorial here:

A really good understanding video. Also for non native english persons. Thanks Stephen.

Hey. I do not have the full version of reaktor but I just bought razor and wish to utilize this hack. Is there anyway you could link the saved ensemble so I can load it into reaktor player? I assume it would work like that, right?

Sorry but it’s not possible as it’s a paid for product

max amount of sine bank and modal bank is 10'000
It really shows that the developers made this module future proof , especially considering it was introduced in reaktor 5.5 in 2010

10000 partials is already way more than is useful for most things.
The original 320 cap will be a limitation in terms of the high end on very low bass notes.
For something like a saw wave at 30Hz, you still only need 600 partials to fill the spectrum up to 18KHz which is above what most adults can hear, and 735 partials will take you up to the Nyquist limit for 44.1KHz. Lowest note that is heard as an actual note rather than a series of individual events is maybe 20Hz, but even at 10Hz (getting into 'brown note' territory here), the whole spectrum up to nyquist (@44.1KHz) would still only require 2205 partials. In reality most speakers can't faithfully reproduce anything like that anyway.
Resynthesis might be something where more partials could be useful, does Razor do that?

That's the issue I always had with Dmitry Sches' Thorn. Too few partials, so bass sounds sounded very muffled.
