Kontrol X1 as midi controller

Hi!

Can the Traktor Kontrol X1 (MK1) be used as a midi controller when directly connected to another device?

Example: I would like to connect a Kontrol X1 MK1 via USB directly to my Teenage Engineering OP-Z so I can use the X1 as a midi controller.

If this is not possible on the MK1, is it possible on the X1 MK2?

    I am not 100% sure about that one but maybe only the class compilant midi controllers are detected by that hardware.
