Why to I get, 'This is BETA version of Kontakt 7! It will expire in 14 days'

Hi all,

When I open Kontakt 7, either stand alone or as a plugin in Pro Tools, I get the error message cited in the Question field. I have been using Kontakt 7 and later 7.2 for months and I own a license to the product, please see the screenshot from my Native Access. Any help will be appreciated.

Not sure about that message - but I would love to know where/how you managed to get v7.2.0 (for months?) of Kontakt 7.

My Native Access shows Kontakt 7.1.5 being the latest - and the top of this forum board confirms that 7.1.5 IS the current version.

Unless 7.2.0 is some other plugin format (AAX?) for use only in PT?

Run it in a search. 100s of pirates. Someone broke their beta testing agreement.

I think it came out of a lab in Wuhan 😛

Makes sense - both to me on what is really the current version AND the OPs error message.

Clearly, he/she has installed something he/she shouldn't have OR that he/she should not be talking about (broken NDA) on this forum.

I did not imply that you did anything wrong. I was talking about someone who may have hacked and cracked it and put it on the net. Don't worry, be happy.

If you were an actual beta tester - this thread would not exist because you would know exactly what this message is and why it is appearing.

But the OPs Native Access screenshot clearly shows 7.2 Full Version, so you shouldn't jump to conlcusions.

Probably a 100% certainty that ALL versions show as Full - even if they are beta.

The only conclusions I am drawing (and both are 100% accurate) is that a user has a version of Kontakt that is somehow newer than the official NI release AND that a user stops by this forum to report an error condition that he/she would already know the answer to if they were under official NDA.

Nothing more.

Are you part of the beta or not? If you are, you've done nothing wrong, don't worry. It just means that this version will expire in 14 days. Either you will find a new beta when this day comes or it will be publicly available and you'll just have to update or reinstall.

Thank you, yes, I am part of the beta, and thank you for assuring me that I have done nothing wrong. I will happily await further information from you at NI.
