Thanks, that more complete explanation helps. I didn't actually make all sorts of assumptions. I did a few hours of research prior to my OP. Lacking any other explanation, it appeared the problem was having folders at the root level. Here's an example of one such post ……

It's a bit confusing - if the download errors have nothing to do with my folder structure, then why move all the root level folders. Can you point to the great post from yesterday, I'd like to read that but I wasn't sure which post you mean. Does anyone know if we can expect a fix for Native Access download errors, or is…

@Vocalpoint That's true, I've never changed any folder path except the Content path. The NI simple recommendation doesn't seem simple for me to implement, at this point, to move hundreds of folders, not knowing what may break, and whether that would even fix the download errors. I'll wait and see if Native Access Download…

@Vocalpoint (1) Is there an explanation anywhere of why installing NI Content folders at the root of a dedicated sample drive is not recommended? I haven't changed my opinion that if NI doesn't want you to do it, they should warn you at the time of installation. Why could they not do that? I'm sure there are numerous…

If these errors are "mostly" (or all?) Massive X, I'm going to wait and hope that NI comes through with a fix for us. I agree with the good points from everyone above. I actually have organized things similar to Vocalpoint, with my documented standards that I use. The exception being I used the root of my sample drive…

Thanks for all the ideas. I just need to clarify a few points … My goal is if possible, to avoid having to manually identify, move, relocate or reinstall hundreds of NI folders, apart other manufacturers, and then potentially the troubleshooting that almost always occurs when you try to make changes of this scale.…

It isn't clear whether I should have to move my libraries away from the root level at all. Is there a definitive statement about this from NI? Is this really why 40% of my downloads failed? Why did 60% update successfully? And if I do have to move them, I think NI could provide a utility to identify which folders should be…

Before my original post, I had a long long "chat" with Google AI. Google AI kept repeating that the installation location at D: root level is the cause of the error, I don't know where it got that info (and no, I don't believe everything AI says). With Komplete 15 Ultimate, it appears I have over 200 NI products, and most…

Just tried it, switching this Kontakt instance and all 4 midi tracks from Omni to channel 1, and then to channel 2. I also tried disabling all effects & plugins (via the "FX" button in Cakewalk) None of these changes made a difference. More information ... I am using the Orchestral Percussion Kit.nki The C1 key "Hits" is…

SE Percussion is on it's own midi input / output, not shared with other plug-ins. There are 4 midi tracks where I performed each SE instrument, by playing the midi notes that SE assigned to various instruments. All 4 of these are on the same midi channel (Omni), which shouldn't be a problem (see jpg). So far I've only…

Thank you Jeremy, My OS is Windows 11 Home, on an Intel NUC Enthusiast PC less than 1 year old, 64GB RAM, 4TB SSD I tried but was not able to recreate the issue ... In the same project I deleted all other tracks and soft synths to make a tiny project. Then the problem was no long occurring. However the problem is still…

AI and robotics are going to change the world, including music. I hope that governmental, corporate and technology leaders will try to responsibly guide the development and implementation of AI. If done right, as jobs are transitioned to AI, we could evolve into a new economic model that could benefit society.
