Will the new KK Mk3 keyboards support Machine
Hello can you please confirm whats going on with this ? Im seeing lots of reviews on line saying the new mk3 keyboards don't support Maschine. This is a very serious fundamental flaw if true. I use my mk2 alot with Maschine software within Logic. It's main part of my work flow & work template.
Can you please let me know as i can't upgrade if this is the case.

It's incorrect to say they "don't support" Maschine, because the only difference is that some Maschine specific buttons were removed. They are still MIDI keyboards and will work as such with software that supports MIDI keyboards.

Except Maschine (software) currently doesn’t support aftertouch so the flip question is when will Maschine finally support NI keyboards?

This is incorrect.
There is a very deep integration between the MK2 and Maschine (too many to list here, plenty of videos on the topic) that no MIDI protocol will ever be able to handle. Not to say that NI couldn't make it happen in the future for MK3, but at this time the support for Maschine is completely gone.

How do you know this (considering the units are not available yet to most of us)?
I could accept your comment if you'd tried a mk3 with Maschine software and confirmed it.
I also stand by my earlier statement that they still work as MIDI keyboards, which surely is the main reason they're purchased.

Because that's how they are currently being presented in every review out there from people that actually have them. If they are all lying, then there are some serious marketing issues. If you noticed, I also said they may bring it back at any time in the future. If you have better information than they do, please do share.
I also believe that the main reason one would buy a KK is actually for the Kontakt ecosystem and not for it's standalone MIDI control capabilities - which with all due respect, are more limited than most other dedicated controllers on the market, if you don't care about poly-aftertouch.
I actually think KK is a very good product, but the OP question was pretty clear and if he indeed made Maschine a core function of his workflow and that integration is gone, no MIDI protocol alone will change that. I stand by this statement as well.

Will this in any way impact the MK2 integration or just strictly for MK3?
Also, is it possible to find out a bit of reasoning of why this was removed?

Nobody is lying.
The KKS mk3 is able to send simple MIDI to Maschine, in MIDI Mode, like any other MIDI Device in the world.
What it can't do is all the dedicated control features, all the stuff that justifies it's price tag, if you use it with Maschine this is all you will see on your fancy screen:
Absolutely nothing else, at least at launch, then... who knows what it might be able to do.

Thanks Jeremy that at least settles the question about MK3 Maschine support, or rather lack of it, although it's not what anyone would prefer to be the answer. My question is if people are limited to midi mode will the Maschine software at least be modified to accept aftertouch from NI keyboards that have it, so at least people can use it to record what they play with that midi input including expression?

According to the loopop review (seems to be the longest one) there's no Maschine integration YET. That's a lot different to all these panic posts on here saying that NI have dumped Maschine, the world is going to end etc.
We know they removed the Maschine buttons and why, but based on the first version of a product that's not on the market yet, I think it's a little early to be throwing toys from the pram.

My guess is it's something to do with the fact the new keyboards support NKS2, and have new hardware and chips on board to enable those extended features, chips that are not in the current line of Maschine (but this is maybe a hint about future developments?)

Removing existing features on the current keyboards (mk1 mk2) would be crazy, NI can be strange at times but not to this point.
Just to clarify for anyone else reading it's not about the Maschine MK3 especially, it's all of Maschine, it's SW support so it doesn't matter if it's a Maschine Mk2, Mk3, Mikros, M+, Studio, etc.
I agree it's not the end of the world, at the same time it's quite disappointing and weird not to support your own products, expressing this concern might convince them to re-think it or prioritize it.
Also, if people think Mas already feels abandoned this certainly does not help, cant blame them tbh

No panic at all, the OP is trying to make an informed purchase decision. "The only difference is that some Maschine specific buttons were removed" is not quite the whole picture, and he should be aware of that.

Mea culpa. I'd only watched Jef Gibbons review at that time, which mentioned the removal of the buttons but didn't go into detail about what else was affected.
