I own Guitar Rig 6 and Guitar Rig 5 does not show up in Native Access.
I know GR5 is a legacy product.. How can I download/install it? There must be a way, surely?
Well, do you own a Guitar Rig 5 license?
If you do and if you're using Native Access 2 (the new dark client), try activating "Show discontinued products" under "Legacy Products" in the Preferences.
If you don't own one, you may want to try purchasing it second-hand as NI (obviously) does not sell it anymore. Below is a dedicated "marketplace" thread - why not ask around there if someone sells one?! 🙂
I own a GR 6 license - does that not count?
UPDATE: Sorry, I was using 1.41. I honestly thought that was the latest. Just installed the "dark" version (3.1.0) and switched "Show discontinued products" on.. but Guitar Rig 5 still doesn't show up in Native Access. I've tried the refresh icon as well. Am I missing something?
Sadly, no. It does not count.
OK.. so I need to get a secondhand GR5 by the looks of things. I just hope somebody will sell me one at a cheap price. I bought GR6 with a great discount - I'm certainly not paying the same price for GR5 secondhand :-)
@SparkyNZ , can I ask why you need GR5 aside of GR6? Grtz, Wouter
All of my tones were created with GR5 on the old PC that I had. It was a Win7 machine that I bought second hand with Cubase and GR5 pre-installed. I bought a new Win10 PC and bought GR6 myself. I want to reuse my tones without spending hours trying to recreate them again.
You should normally be able to import your GR5 presets in GR6, did you check that out?
I can't. The presets I created are saved as Cubase session presets. Cubase wants to load GR5 for my projects. I need to load GR5 first before I can save and load into GR6... So I need GR5.
I have managed to load Cubase and GR5 on my boy's PC with my old Win7 hard drive.
Question: Where (what folder) does GR5 save my presets?
I have a preset called "Paul Git".. would there be a Paul Git file somewhere??
