How do I assign CC to a knob without using MIDI learn?

I want to assign a knob to CC 2 so I can write the automation in my MIDI item in my DAW (Reaper).

How do I assign this directly (like right-click the knob - assign to CC - select CC 2)? I can't see any way to do it. Thanks.

    If you are not using a controller and just want to assign a CC, go to the Automation Tab in Kontakt, select "Midi Automation" and drag CC#2 on the Control/Parameter you want to assign it to.
