Absynth 6 looks and sounds fantastic. To see this happen literally brings faith in NI's future. Hopefully, we will see Reaktor 7 with crazy new devices. I would like to see Metaphysical Function 2, Carbon 3, Polyplex 2, and something for a crazy audio montage, somewhat in line with FORM, with at least 2 audio sources and some insane blending options.

I've always found Komplete Kontrol to be MPE 'agnostic' - it doesn't officially support MPE but neither does it block plugins that do use it from interacting in hosts that also support it (as Maschine does) and it certainly supports aftertouch of both flavours
Anyway now it's out I do have some questions.
Loving the fact that it is back and has a great new interface, better quality fx, MPE support etc and really appreciative that NI have listened to users saying how much this is a loved product.
Just wondering - what happened to library templates? Absynth has always been great for the ability to reuse things like envelopes, oscs, even whole channels, and like many longstanding users I have a huge library of those. Also I can see the default factory libraries have been installed (see below for what I mean) but the old browsers in each section for accessing and saving them are missing. Is this something that is planned but not ready yet or am I missing something and there is now another way to access the libraries?
Also I can't get surround working. In Absynth 5 there is an additional panel in audio setup to assign audio channels but the Abs6 audio i/o setup only allows me to select one pair of speakers at a time - not all of them, and I am going through the settings surround selection and trying loading surround patches I have created and all I am seeing is stereo outs - again maybe I am doing something wrong? It would be helpful if the settings panels actually had an OK button to save settings rather than them just vanishing when I click outside them as that is not reassuring me that my settings have in fact been set.
Hmm, just (Black Friday sales) got my wife to buy me Diva and Hive 2 which I'm not allowed to touch until Christmas, and I recently bought myself Omnisphere 3, on the understanding that I won't need any new music software for a while
I just know I'm going to own it before the evenings out lol

such fantastic news that Absynth is back! i've been using it for almost 20 years. nothing quite like it.
after playing around with it i have a couple of questions:
1: where are the audio mods / envelope followers? i cannot find them. UPDATE: they are not in Absynth 6. see this page (scroll down). but WILL they get added in a future update?
2: can you please add the ability to save the user patches WITH USER SAMPLES? i sorely need this. it saves a lot of headaches when opening up older files that can't find the samples.
3: can you add crossfades to the sample oscillator (like for example Arturia Pigments has)? plus pingpong looping?
4: can you please add sample drag and drop to the sample/granular oscillators? the current (and also old Absynth way) is a bit too time consuming and cumbersome.
5: when i try to load any Absynth 5 patch that contains user samples it does NOT load the samples with it. the samples are on my computer. is this the right way to load older Absynth patches?
6: can you please add UNDO/REDO? it was in previous versions of Absynth.
