Updating Kontakt 8

Just bought (upgraded to) Kontakt 8 and bought a few new vst instruments. A couple of them require a later version of Kontakt 8 (4.0). Native Access doesn't offer me any updates. I opened a support ticket several days ago asking for an installer for version 4.0 but no reply yet (other than an acknowledgement). Rooting around I'm thinking it looks like OS 12 (Monterey) won't support 4.0 but have not been told that for sure. Any ideas? Thanks

Your OS is not supported for Kontakt 8 at all.

The current version of Kontakt 8 as of a day ago is now v8.8.0

Your only option now is to upgrade to at least OS 13 (or higher).

You should be able to download installers from your Account downloads page, but as already pointed out by VocalPoint then that will not help you if your OS is too old to support the product , last supported version of Kontakt 8 on OS 12 (Monterey) is version 8.0.1 , Ref. : Compatibility of Native Instruments Products on macOS

Hello @PoorFellow - Thanks for giving the link to the installers page, I couldn't find that anywhere. I'm having a similar issue with Kontakt 8 Player (not the full Kontakt 8). Native Access won't update my Kontakt Player to the latest version 8.5 which I need to run the Session Guitarist Ruby library I just bought. I don't see any installer for Kontakt 8 Player on that page of installers unfortunately. Do you happn to know where to get the installer for the latest Kontakt 8 Player?

I've already tried all the usual troubleshooting for Native Access/Kontakt and nothing is working (uninstalling/installing latest version of NA, NI registry tool, removing Native Access.xml from Service Center folder, Reboot, etc. etc.) and Native Access will not seem to update me to v8.5 for whatever reason. Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the info, everyone. I'm trying to get another year out of my Hackintosh but it won't go past Mac OS12. Time to get a new computer. Thanks again.

What is your present version of Kontakt ? and what is the error ? (screenshot ?) , What is your computer type and exact version of OS

Do you happn to know where to get the installer for the latest Kontakt 8 Player?

Installers for Full and Player version should be the same only the Player version runs as Player when user does not have a license for full.

Try this : Exit NA

Try uninstalling both Kontakt 8 and NA

then remove both the NA and the Kontakt 8 XML

then also delete the Native Access folder from %AppData%\Native Instruments\

then also run the NI reg tool and remove Kontakt 8 if there

then also remove the Kontakt 8 JSON file from C:\Users\Public\Documents\Native Instruments\installed_products

then reboot computer (important)

then download , install and run latest version of Native Access for your OS

then install Kontakt 8 again to see if that helped…
