Hey everyone,
We’ve just rolled out a bunch of updates to the online community! These changes reflect how you actually use the space, combined with some new features from our platform provider. We hope the space feels more welcoming, more useful, and - most importantly - easier to navigate all around.
Check out what’s new below, try things out, and feel free to share your feedback in this thread.
What’s new
Post page
- Nested comments: You can now reply directly to specific comments, so it's easier to follow conversations and especially helpful for Q&As with the product team. Replies are grouped like on Reddit. By default, top-voted comments appear first, but you can switch to "Newest" or "Trending." The original poster is also clearly labeled, so you won’t have to scroll up to figure out who started the thread.
Homepage
- Category tiles: We’ve replaced the old list of threads with clean, clickable category tiles. You can still find the latest threads under the “Discussions” tab on top of the page.
- iZotope section: iZotope has been part of our product family for a while, and since many of our community members are also experts in mixing and mastering, it only made sense to give them a dedicated space.
- Reaktor and Battery 4 removed from the homepage: To keep things streamlined, Reaktor and Battery 4 are no longer listed on the homepage. You can still find Reaktor under Synths and Battery 4 in Other NI software and hardware.
- Refreshed design: We’ve updated the artwork and copy across the forum to better reflect what this community is all about: creators helping creators.
Category page
- Top contributors: You’ll now see a list of top active users in each category. It’s a great way to discover experts and maybe even get featured yourself.
Other improvements
- Flag instead of Spam: The “Spam” button is now “Flag,” where you can still report content that breaks our Code of Conduct.
- Search bar on Post Page: A new search bar has been added to the "Create Post" page to help avoid duplicate threads.
- Required post details: You now need to include your Operating System and Product Version when posting questions, making it easier for others (and our support team) to help.
What’s next?
Now that it’s easier to get support from the community, we’re thinking - what about a space to just hang out or share your music? You’ve asked for it, and we’re excited to say: an official Native Instruments Discord is on the way! Drop a comment below if you want to be first in line for an invite. :)
