It’s been awhile since the Chief published his latest ‘quarterly’ update, and @Chris_NI‘s 2025 Outlook for Maschine and Kontrol seems to be even older.

So what about a status update? Or even better: what are the new estimates for Maschine 3 for Maschine+ to arrive? It Still doesn’t seem to be in Beta testing, so 2025/Q2 doesn’t seem very likely to me. So, is it within sight?

Someone posted recently that Simon Cross @NI gave some info about progress in a Facebook post.

What the reasoning was behind posting there instead of here or the beta group, I have no idea.

Asked the same thing in another thread — total silence 😅 Looks like the Maschine 3 update for M+ is stuck in the mystical realm of 'sooooooooooon™ ;-)

The public beta has not yet started.

Not a ‘public’ Beta, but also no ‘closed’ Beta. So at this point no sign of the promised 3.0 upgrade for Maschine Plus. Really would like to know how this affects the rest of the roadmap for 2025.

Yes, I’m happy with the latest 2.0 update, which made the M+ a lot more stable! But the integrated workflow is still one-way, or we must use the old version of Maschine (and instruments) on desktop.

It's probably in the alpha testing stage, and I guess it will stay at this stage for several days or weeks. So the Maschine+ update rollout is still a while away – it may come after the holidays. Releasing it any sooner would likely be extremely difficult for them.

id say the soonest would be end of Q3, but i expect it to be Q4 or even next year…
a delay dont bother me as much as a unstable release would, so im patiently waiting..

Pretty sure it's a closed beta, with an NDA that states no one is allowed to share any details of what happens there… Or what hasn't happened yet.

Simon’s Facebook post clearly says it is an alpha testing

What Facebook post?? Please don’t tell me the Chief has enough time to post on the socials, but can’t manage it to actively inform his own user community. Or did his latest ‘quarterly update’ ceremony also took place on Facebook…?

This Maschine+ Facebook group is somewhat unique. It was started by a German guy (maybe that’s not important, but maybe it is), and to be honest, it's the largest Maschine+ group on Facebook. That’s why Simon’s post feels a bit like a “calm down” message – many people simply don’t know the official forum, which is more of a place for professionals or those looking for specific technical help.

But yes – the lack of information and communication doesn’t look good. Especially when we’re being called a “community” here. :)

I dont mind the wait. I want a bulletproof (stability-wise) M3 on the + - Even going into beta means bye-bye forever to M2 AFAICT. I'd rather wait than have NI rush this deployment to be honest

I agree, but the amount of time since the Maschine 3 release has been more than enough to deliver something solid and reliable. The team and management just aren’t prioritizing Maschine enough — a lot of resources are going into Kontakt instead.

Personally, I’m not interested in making cinematic, overproduced music with tons of lush and deep libraries. I want to make music people can dance to — and perform it live as part of a DJ set. Maschine it's my go-to tool for that. ;-)

Not what this all about, and you know that. Same discussion over and over again. Question is simple: a beta within sight? Any news?

There’s only one person or one team who an answer that question. And as a community we can inform each other about any ‘missed’ communication.
