Maschine 3 drag and drop problem

Hey, I have maschine (latest updated daw) and i used to be able to drag any sound file/sample directly into it, but doesnt work anymore, anyone who could help a fella out?

( I use a pc )

    P.S. have you tried copying the files to another place and drag and drop from there ?

    The user with same issue has posted a screenshot with a Windows backup Nag screen which leads me to believe that it could have to do with the backup nag or that you maybe also are having Windows One drive turned on for the place where that you try to drag and drop from ? So try to drag and drop from a place that is not backed up to MS One drive. (in which case by Drag and Drop test from above might fail even from desktop)

    P.S.2 :

    If running Maschine 3 software as an Admin then try running it normally without 'run as an Admin' , to see if that makes any difference. (OK to be logged in as an Admin but just not also use the 'run as an Admin' when opening app)

    Hello,

    Be more specific about what you are trying to do. Drag and drop from Windows Explorer ?

    You can drag and drop audio or MIDI files from Windows Explorer directly to a 'Soundslot' of a 'Group'.

    Maschine detects the file type (audio or MIDI).

    Yes , from my folders , ex. from Samples or recordings from my native folders. It used to work before but recently just stopped... i get the 🚫 sign when its over slot 1 - 16

    Is Maschine software up to date ? Which version, 2 or 3 ?

    In 'Preferences' you can also check the path of the user library depending on your version of the Maschine software.

    Hey Oliver, Maschine 3 - latest version, all is updated.

    thing is, it worked recently, and just suddenly stopped. i can load everything in from the library / files meny on the left, , but mucheeasier and more info on getting them from File Explorer

    Please double check that what you are trying to drag and drop is in fact WAV files. Else then I suppose that it could have to do with either a codec problem or a permission problem.

    I made a short dummy file to test with. Unzip the file to your desktop to see if you can drag and drop it into the Maschine 3 from there. This should hopefully work. Drag and drop into Group 1-16 (?) works fine on my Maschine 3 software.

    After posting this I just spotted this other post with same issue so apparently there is a pattern forming here.

    It is still working for me (although on Mac)

    I can drag files from the internal browser and from Finder

    Into tracks and even into plugins hosted in Maschine 3

    You are very welcome , and thank you for providing feedback 🙂

    As I wrote over here then to be able to use Drag and Drop if you for some reason want to run Maschine 3 using 'Run as an Admin' then just download and install a third party file manager such as FreeCommander XE (I tested using that) , and then after having used 'Run as an Admin' to start Maschine 3 then also use the same 'Run as an Admin' to start the file manager. Then you should be able to drag and drop using that file manager.
