MIDI Mapping with S61

Hello all, I have a first generation Kontrol S61. I am having some mapping issues. I have the latest version of the Controller Editor on OSX. I have a template setup to match the mapping of the knobs with my Arturia APC Mini as I swap between keyboards depending on where I'm performing. Page 1 on the mapping is working fine but page 2 is all funking. For example I have knob 2 mapped to CC18 and it displays CC18 both on the keyboard and in the app but it is sending CC15 which is it's default setting. The same for all the other page 2 mappings. Any idea why?

Have you tried to add a new mapping and add a few pages there? Do you use a midi monitor to see what midi signal is coming from the keyboard.

Thanks for the response! Yes, I tried creating a new template and again page 1 works fine but page 2 is sending the wrong signal. I am using a MIDI sniffer to determine what it's actually sending. The keyboard and Controller Editor will both say CC18 but then it will send CC15 for example.

And if you use CC21 for 18, I know not ideal but what else could you do, I also guess you have the latest firmware.

It's not just for CC18, it's for all of them on Page 2. The keyboard and app show one CC but send default which is, I think CC114-CC121. Thanks for the firmware tip, I did just check and I'm running the latest (ie last) patch for it.

Then you could only contact native support, maybe they can somehow fix it by forcing a firmware overwrite or something like that. Is the midi sniffer you use a stand alone application so the midi port goes directly onto that app - just to rule out the DAW making the shift.Even if I think that will show the same results.

I'll contact them. Yes, it's a direct port sniffer so it's definitely not Live messing things up.

I'm so stupid! I figured it out. So I was just changing the "Knob" box which then reflects that on the keyboard. That must actually be a label. I needed to change the "Number" value below as well. It was on the default value. So problem solved.
