Komplete Kontrol won´t load any Instruments

in Komplete Kontrol

When opening projects on FL Studio that i´ve created with the old version of Komplete Kontrol (bevore the complete overhaul) the Instuments won´t load at all. It´s just an empty instance of the current version of Komplete Kontrol. Is that an issue with FL (latest version) or KK (also latest version)? Would it be possible to install an older version of KK? With projects createt with the current version i have no problems loading them.

    Hello,

    have you checked that fl sees the vst2 versions of the plugins (vst2 folder) too. In fl studio preferences you should be able to add the folder, then try again.

    I found the solution to part of my problem. Evidently my Komplete Kontrol database was corrupted. Once I did a reset I was able to use most of the plug-ins.

    I am still having trouble with some instruments. For instance, U-He Hive appears on the S61 screen and previews sounds but when I attempt to load one nothing changes. On my computer, in Komplete Kontrol, I get the message "Loading Issue: Hive could not be loaded." Perhaps that is something also related to the database. It is odd that it sees it and allows me to preview sounds but cannot load the synth itself.

    Would be KK that is the issue.

    First thing to do would be to roll back to the previous V2 of KK and make sure things are working fine. If you don't own an MK3 keyboard, my personal suggestion to save a world of hurt would be to just stick with V2 of KK.

    Otherwise you will need to first select a project you can test with and check exactly what instances of KK are there (are they VST2 instances of KK)? and what plugins are loaded (and are they VST2 instances of the plugin)?

    KK V3 no longer offers a VST2 version so if your projects were using the VST2 version of KK then they will not load projects using the new version of KK. You have to manually switch out the VST2 plugins for VST3 to update your projects before updating.

    Thank you for the reply.

    I have installed V2 of KK, but still the same result. I don´t think that my Komlete 11 Library would containt that many VST2´s. None of my Projects load.

    @Janshome Were you able to fix this issue? I assume you were using the VST2 version of Komplete Kontrol, right? And you're using the vst3 version now. Do you remempber what kind of instruments? Kontakt libraries? Which ones?

    Basically all the librarys of Komplete 14 CE. I have tried loading a few project´s, but none of them worked. I have uninstalled the new version and installed the old version of Komplete Kontrol. Still the same issue, the instruments will not load. Why would the current version not be backwardas compatible with VST2?

    I am having the same problem in Logic Pro X. when I click on an instrument in KK it say plug in not found. very frustrating.

    Thank you @Uwe303 i have now located the VST2 versions and sucessfully loadet my project with the older version of Komplete Kontrol.

    I, also, am having similar issues on a Windows PC, with Ableton Live 12 (using a Kontrol S16 keyboard. The Ableton software and the keyboard firmware versions are up to date.

    I start a new project, put a NI instruments, say 'Glaze 2,' on track one by browsing on the S61 keyboard. When I try to load the instrument I get the message: 'Loading Issue: Plug-in not found. Please open the standalone application to rescan, or rescan manually in the Plug-in preferences.' And,

    I load the same instrument in Kontakt 8 using the keyboard and everything works just fine.

    I have rebooted my PC to make make sure I did not introduce something odd in the first test, but the results are the same after booting back up.

    After the error, the first instrument slot on the S61 is empty. I would expect that.

    Komplete Kontrol, Kontakt 8 and the instruments I am testing with are all up to date.

    The voices available for Glaze 2 give their preview sound as I scroll through them on the S61. But once I select one I get the error and the failure follows.

    I don't know if this adds much, but I appreciate any thoughts that might help me move forward.

    Hopefully there is a solution for this and I just missed it in my searches.

    Have you done what it says on the tin, did you open KK standalone and what happens there if you try and load the same instrument, do you get the same error?

    Not odd at all, previews are just samples of presets, the plugin is not doing the previewing
