I have a global sounds problem that coming from Kontakt player 8 . After a while of playing the sound is transposed to a halftone key ? If I started to play on C major , I find the sound transposed to B Major after 2 minutes of playing ??

Is this using Kontakt standalone app or inside a DAW ? If in a DAW then which make and version ?

Also then you are experiencing this using which keyboard ?

(The more information people get the better chance they have at forming an opinion)

Yes . I face this problem whether I use standalone kontakt or using kontakt from inside abelton. I am using komplete kontrol mk2 s88. But with library like the grandeur piano I do not face that problem??? Only with nki files I see that problem

@Ehab Aziz Could there be a wrong MIDI setting in the standalone Komplete Kontrol application? Can you please check if this is also happening there?

If you create a new template, it will reset it to default, getting rid of all user settings.

Do you still have this issue after you've done that?

Yes . I have done what you said but still have same problem with opening 3rd party nki sounds only ???? . But with purchased libraries like The Giant or The grandeur I do not find that problem . This halftone diminshed problem hapenning from inside any standalone kontakt version . Or from any other DAW runnung kontakt.

    Very strange

Easier to help with a little more detail

It happens in Kontakt standalone, after you've been playing for a few minutes?

    1. Is the change in pitch gradual or sudden? What do you have to do to get it to play properly again?
    2. What is your MIDI input? Does it happen when you use the mouse on Kontakt's own keyboards (Master and Instrument)?

You can check that Kontakt is receiving the right notes with the MIDI monitor (KSP top right or Instrument Script Editor>preset>factory>Utilities>MIDI Monitor (use verbose mode).

You can check transpose settings in Instrument Options. Also Tuning in the Instrument Header and Master Editor. (Can't see how these could change spontaneously.)

Most likely some weird malfunction in Kontakt (needs reinstalling) or in your keyboard if you're using one.
