My Kontakt 8 insert suddenly flips to the Free Player version

I am running the latest Pro Tools, and I created an instrument track. I then created a Kontakt 8 insert and from there loaded Arpology X. I then recorded some music and everything was fine, until suddenly, unprovoked, meaning I wasn't doing anything, the insert fliped from Kontakt 8 to the free version, which of course means my recorded Arpology X track plays nothing (because Arpology X requires the full, paid for, Kontakt 8 in order to run). Using Native Access, I updated Kontakt 8 to the latest version 8.4.1, but the same problem occurs: the track works for 15 minutes or so, and then poof, Kontakt 8 has flipped to the free version. Any ideas on what to do here?

Be sure that you are using latest version of Native Access for your OS

Then try the following Trouble shooter here : My Products Are Showing As DEMO in Native Access , especially '2. Your activation fails because of corrupted or missing activation tokens' and '3. You have corrupted XML files' (delete both NA XML and Kontakt 8 product XML) then restart computer and log in again to see if that helps

If the problem is that the free Player version is being loaded rather than the full version you could uninstall the free version from your PC. That way the full version should always get loaded.

Thanks mykijb.. when I insert Kontakt 8 it definitely loads Kontakt 8, not the free player. I can see "Kontakt 8" on the UI, but when it 'flips', suddenly it is the free play without the "Kontakt 8" moniker - I don't see the Free player in my "add/remove apps", but perhaps I will uninstall all things Kontakt and reinstall. Thanks for your help, much appreciated!
