Is there plans to further integrate Maschine back into Kontroller

I have the MK3 Maschine and the mk2 S61. I so want to buy the MK3 but without Maschine integration at mk2 functionality its a no go. I'm sure NI has realize there questionaire was limited at best because they've brought some functions to the MK3. I mean let us use the darn screen already. Learn from AKAI one, unified system no matter the hardware. Rant over. Are there plans to reintroduce maschine into Kontr

Hey @25Kyz The integration with the Mk3 Kontrol keyboards will never be the same as for the MK2. No dediacted buttons, different architecture. There will be improvements and better integration with other DAWs and also with Maschine 3 but again, it will not be the same as for ythe MK2 keyboards.

I will not be surprise if NI ditches Maschine as a whole or launch something “new” as substitute in the best possible scenario.
Let’s hope my gut is totally wrong.

I don’t know if it’s a “substitute” or not, but many moves brought to Kontakt and Komplete Kontrol are pointing at that direction.
Leap, its expansions, loops and samples accessible by Kontakt 8, composition tools (chords, patterns, phrases)… these are all Maschine functions…
Also the new Circular… probably (surely) is more interesting for them to propose new stuff to sell than improve what they already have giving it more functionalities. Once again, I see that their analysis brings them far away from my point of view. Evidently, commercially, proposing additions and updates to make a product stronger (asking for the right price) is not on pair with selling supposed “new” stuff.
Probably, commercially speaking, I don’t understand anything. I continue thinking one of the strengths of a company could be being associated with a successful (and durable) product (which was the thing that brought them to be an industry leader: “NI? Oh yes… the ones of Maschine”… “NI? Oh yes…the ones of Traktor”)… what they think now is that it’s better to be known as a “large products portfolio” company

well that’s a bummer. On the bright side, I get to save $869 USD. Just have to wait and see how far the integration goes with Maschine MK3.

Cool , I’m ok with some improvements and better integration with maschine 3 , loved the mk2 , but there were some things I didn’t use . But if we could get some of those core features back that would be great
What I’d love to see on the mk3 is browser support and scale and chord to follow maschine and vice versa

Another dot in the same vector…

Obviously it’s not going to get the Maschine specific buttons back but it really should be possible to browse NKS as well as control them
And we still need aftertouch support otherwise Maschine is never going to be fully compatible with NI Kontrol keyboards. I think Maschine should at least be feature compatible with Komplete Kontrol - for me the main point of Maschine would be to have the ability to do what I can in Komplete Kontrol plus be able to record and sequence instruments and drums all in one package but the current limitations mean that isn’t possible

Yes, I just wanted to point out that it will never be exactly like for the MK2. There is defintely room for improvement.

Should consider making that the new NI tagline :)
