Kontakt Crash

Good afternoon, I've been trying to contact you for a while, but I haven't been able to. I purchased the Komplete 14 instrument package and use Universal Audio's LUNA as a recording program.

When I open Kontakt 7, it restarts and won't let me run it; the entire program, including LUNA, closes. I'm having the same problem with some other applications; Guitar RIG 6 also won't let me open it. I haven't had this problem before. I'd like to know if anyone has reported this problem and how to fix it.

    Hello

    Please check if your LUNA is outdated and, if so, update it.

    Just a year ago, Luna ddid not support third party VST plugins of any kind.

    I just checked and it seems that they do support VST3 now.

    So, i can only assume that you are using an older version of LUNA.

    Thank you for responding to my message quickly.
    I have all my programs updated, both LUNA and NI.
    What I find strange is that I haven't had this problem before.

    The operating system I use is Windows 11 Pro 24H2. I don't know if any issues have been reported with operating system updates.

    As far as i know, no such issues reported for Windows update.

    About your issue: Please check if you are using VST2 versions instead of VST3. If so, then it is time for a change, since VST2 is became unsupported, rapidly and widely.

    However, i am totally unfamiliar with LUNA to assist you better. If you still can't find solution, i suggest you to contact directly to NI Support, here:

    @Mikebdjz First thing to check is to open Kontakt in standalone. Does it crash as well? Then apply hese steps: Kontakt Crashes

    Also make sure to run both Luna and Kontakt as admin: How to Run a Program as an Administrator

    Hello. When I open Kontak 7 standalone, I can use it without any problems. This only happens when I open it from LUNA. The odd thing is that if I open Kontak 6 from LUNA, I can open it without any problems. The downside to Kontak 6 is that it's not compatible with some virtual instruments. I'll try opening the applications as administrator and will keep you posted.

    The same thing happens to me with Guitar Rig 6. When I insert it into LUNA, the program restarts. However, this doesn't happen with Battery, FM8, and other programs; I insert them without any problems.

    Can you check which formats are the working plug-ins? VST2 or VST3? You can check that out by clicking on the NI logo of the plug-in when in Luna.

    All the applications are in VST3, and every time I try to insert instruments, LUNA restarts.I don't understand why this didn't happen before and now I can't work with NI tools. I'm having the same error with Guitar Rig 6.Only Kontak 6 works.I've restarted the computer and reinstalled everything again to avoid any installation errors, and the error persists.Thank you very much for all the help you offer.

    My laptop has an integrated graphics card and an NVIDIA RTX 4070 graphics card. It switches according to the demands of the program. I configured the laptop to use only the dedicated NVIDIA card and I was able to open KONTAT 7 with LUNA. I thought about changing the graphics settings and the problem has been resolved.If anyone knows anything about the graphics card settings, I would appreciate it if you could guide me on how to configure it so that this doesn't happen to me again.
