I will repeat what I am saying.

I'm not sure that anyone has suggested or tried this yet:

Open KK standalone app, go to File/Settings/Plug-ins and do a rescan

See if your products now work. If not, reinstall the ones that do not work (e.g. Massive) to ensure you're on the latest versions, and then do the rescan again.

Please start by trying this, before we go around in any more circles.

That is not what I said.

I asked you to try the above, which really needs to happen before we can proceed with any further troubleshooting.

Matthew, don't you think that I've already carried out new analyses many times and deleted the corresponding folders many times, then reinstalled them to arrive at the same conclusion and the same error message. What's being described here is really throwing me for a loop because I've already done it so many times. I put everything in a support ticket, but they didn't help me. I've rebooted my Mac and I'm going to send you a video with a new, clean installation so that you can understand exactly what's going on behind the scenes.

Apologies for my confusion: I am unclear about what you just said.

Can you explicitly confirm that you have done the following steps exactly as described, and in this order?

    1. Opened the KK standalone application
    2. Gone to File/Settings/Plug-ins
    3. Perform a re-scan
    4. Leave the application open for 30 minutes (this is just to be safe)
    5. Attempt to load previously problematic content
    6. If it still does not work; reinstall entirely the affected content (e.g. Massive)
    7. In KK standalone, go to File/Settings/Plug-ins again
    8. Perform a re-scan again

I'm only asking because I'm not seeing explicit acknowledgement in your messages that you have in fact done this. I am asking about very specific actions, and not any other actions that you've taken that you may think are relevant to this.

So the image of the plug-in list, in which Massive was not shown and missing, was taken after installing Massive, and then subsequently doing a plug-in rescan in KK?

No, it was still missing. Basically it was kontakt that was missing, so I had to issue the following command in the terminal for it to find the path.

The breakthrough: I had to manually restore execution rights to ni-plugin-info, using:

    bashCopierModifiersudo chmod +x "/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Komplete Kontrol/ni-plugin-info.app/Contents/MacOS/ni-plugin-info"

Only then did Komplete Kontrol properly scan the plugins — I confirmed ni-plugin-info was being used via fs_usage, and Kontakt 7 and 8 finally appeared in the list.

⚠️ But the same error still shows when trying to load Kontakt in Komplete Kontrol:

"Plug-in not found. Loading issue plugins/preset could not be loaded, as it does not yet support Apple Silicon or VST2/VST3."

I've now reinitialised my operating system, which by bad luck reinstalled as Sequoia 15.4.1, whereas initially I was on 15.1.0 and hadn't had any problems until then. I've taken care to store all my ableton projects on a USB stick, in the hope that my presets and automation KK will be recovered as they are. I'll have to reinstall all my plugins too.

    Two follow on thoughts:

When you ran the various installers, including Native Access itself, but also the products, did you ensure to grant all permissions upon request?

We sometimes see such problems if our products don't have the right level of permissions granted.

You haven't by chance ever run a disk cleanup utility, such as CleanMyMac, have you? They sometimes inadvertently delete required low level files and cause such issues as this.

@Jeremy_NI perhaps there is something you want to add here?

yes, I did authorise total access, including in security and confidentiality, total disk access. And no, I don't use cleanmymac, I know how useless that utility is.

Matthew, my mac has just been cleaned. I'm sending you a step-by-step video installing only native KK and k7 acces as well as a bank so you can see what it does.

To clear up another point of confusion:

But the same error still shows when trying to load Kontakt in Komplete Kontrol:

"Plug-in not found. Loading issue plugins/preset could not be loaded, as it does not yet support Apple Silicon or VST2/VST3."

You say you are attempting to load Kontakt in Komplete Kontrol.

Yet the earlier video shows you trying to load presets that are not Kontakt presets.

2 Pranged for instance, is a Monark preset, which is a Reaktor ensemble. Have you installed the latest versions of Reaktor and Monark, via Native Access 2? And are we totally sure the issue isn't because you're trying to load presets for non-Kontakt instruments that may not be installed?

Sorry to be pedantic - there's quite a bit to clear up here.

    Exactly bang on Matthew.

There continues to be huge confusion on how this works.

To the OP - one more time - Kontakt loads Kontakt presets - and ONLY Kontakt presets.

If you click on any other present (" 2 Pranged") and see an error - the instrument trying to load that present - is botched - this has nothing to do with Kontakt.

I've just realised one essential thing: some banks need a kontakt 6 version to work or as you mentioned reaktor. Now I think the problem is solved. I'll tell you more soon. Thanks for your time, I think I'll finally be able to make music from now on.

It does seem like the presets you were attempted to load were for products that were not installed or updated - try and track down which product each preset is from, and see if that helps.

No it’s not corrupting anything, just that the examples you gave were not of Kontakt patches so you should not expect them load in Kontakt. You need to install the latest VST3 version of Massive and do a plugin scan
