Yamaha fc3a. I tried continuous. At one point i heard full on sustain when i pushed the cable into the s61 but for the most part i dont get any sustain at all.the s61 is new.

the article with compatible pedals is smeared but i believe i bought the wrong pedal . Can you confirm that yamaha fc3a doesnt work with s61?

@mountain lion Is it a mk3 keyboard? If it is we would recommend not to use the FC3A pedal, it's cabling is making it really difficult to set up.

I am just about to purchase the Dp 10 roland. Should work for sustain on the s61 mk 3 ?

What can i do with the fc3a ?

Both controllers are continuous controllers, so both are basically the "same". You can use both for more than just sustain, you can control any parameter if you set it up correctly and that way have your hand(s) free to play. Or tweak one parameter with one hand another with that pedal and one hand plays. You can add another level of expression even if you just use it for volume control or dynamics control.
