I am an author and attempting to turn one of my books into an audiobook. I have a single mono recording of my voice. No stereo, no other tracks conflicting with it. In some places - generally when I’m a little louder - the recording sounds like I doubled it and offset the second one a little.
The reason probably has something to do with the recording environment, but I’m NOT LOOKING FOR THAT ANSWER right now. I imagine it’s a tight reverb or something. What I’m trying to figure out is if there is a way to fix that digitally or if my only option is to re-record the passages. I have iZotope’s Music Production Suite Pro that I’m fiddling with, but I can’t figure out how to make it solve this problem. Could be because I’m ignorant. Could be it’s not possible. That’s what I’m hoping to find out, but googling doesn’t seem to turn up this specific problem.
Similar but related - a buzz sometimes on “n”s, ie “couldn’t” will buzz on the “n’t”, waveform has the same wonky look as on the chorus effect ones. It would be nice to fix it on my computer instead of the hassle of recording again (especially since if I buzzed it in my nose once, I’m liable to buzz it again…). Anyone know if I can fix it digitally, and if so, how?
Thanks!
