update using v1.6.1.24 / fw v0.1.9

  • at 4410 I'm getting aprox 12ms
  • at 8820 I'm getting aprox 6ms

Methodology:

  • Maschine+ connected to RME babyface orig. via usb
  • Babyface connected to Fireface UFX via ADAT
  • Digitak connected to Fireface UFX via analouge input
  • Output recorded from usb of UFX at 44.1 & 64 buffer and then timestamp eyeballed on a timeline.

So that's a huge improvement on a really difficult problem. From all accounts coding audio over usb is a fracking arcane art. Thanks NI devs!!!!

Anyone else able to confirm my findings pls?

This is what always happens to RTL when you double the sampling rate, isn't it? a buffer size of X will only fit half as much audio when you double the SR, and as long as your CPU can keep up, latency is thus halved
