and, I am unable to get NI Access to see the old 'Library' hard drive which contains all the instruments.

What are the steps to allow the new machine to see the instruments.

1. It can view the instruments on the hard drive LIBRARY/NI Content/…
2. However it does not recognize or give the option to repair, relocate etc

Help?

Just to close this thread. Thanks for the advice. I ended up purchasing a new Komplete 15 and actually is a very good way to go as the new instruments etc are amazing.

    Check this first :

Be sure that you are using latest version of Native Access for your OS (unless using a legacy OS)

ALL NI apps including NTKDaemon must have full disk access. : How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS

and disks must be of correct format : Notes on Network Drives and Disk Formats

And quote Kymeia : if using Sequoia then N.I. apps must be added to the Local Network

Else then what is your computer type and exact OS version ?

At the bottom left of the Native Access window click "Maintenance" then "Locate Product Content". That should let you add the folder containing all your libraries and any content in them should be added.

    Thank you for your time.

If you have a little more advice,

    1. Tried:
    a. maintenance. preferences
b full access to all: ilok kontakt 7, 8, NTK Dameon, Pro Tools SAC Helper, SMBD, Waves,
    2. All factory instruments are present
    3. Location Services: on for everything
    4. Be sure that you are using latest version of Native Access for your OS (unless using a legacy OS)
    5. Replaced Komplete db: no scan
    6. Repair installed products: "A broken intallation was detected of 0 content libraries" , then, Library Found Successfully. however … no changes
    7. Using sonoma
Not to impose on your time … if you have any more ideas, i am open.

Well , I am not sure that this will help and I do not know the Mac equivalent , but have you tried removing the NA XML (My Product is Missing in Native Access) , then uninstall N.A. , then also remove the whole Native Access folder that contains the Mac equivalent of all the folders shown below , then reboot , then download and re-install latest version of Native Access for your OS . Might not work but worth a try at least I think :

All NI apps, plugins, and Expansions must be re-install on a brand new or after an "Erase All Content and Settings" Mac computer. Only Kontakt libraries on external storage can be relocated in Native Access without re-installation. Also, remember that macOS requires your directly connected external SSDs to be formatted as GUID-APFS, or external HDDs as GUID-Mac OS Extended Journaled.

Thanks for you suggtestions! Very much appreciated!

Ok then, I purchased a new 2T SSD HD and formatted GUID-APFS. Still unable to load 'any' library except that which came with the new install. I will keep tinkering with it.

I am supposing this will mean by what you suggest that I will lose Battery, Studio Drummer etc. Ugh.

I guess this is why we put off updating for so long. :|
