There have been announcements of apple music launching on Serato, Engine, Alphatheta and rekordbox. Traktor needs to cathup soon.
Native, now is the time to make this apple music integration happen. You are seriously lagging behind. It's a great feature. If you dont make this happen it will drastically affect your Traktor sales in the future - both software and hardware. This comes from a guy that has been using your products exclusively almost 15 years. I hope that we dont have to jump ship because your lack of interest of competing with other companies.
Simple: I have 2 options:
Your choice ;-)
actually it’s your choice. Do what makes you be the best you can be!
I hope this space (to the right on the middle row of this image here) is left for Traktor to be added…. I just hope it's not too much longer to wait.
Perhaps more news will come once this "Summer of Sound" sales window closes…
Apple Music should be integrated, NI please listen to community and make it happen soon, not in 5 years.
Please!!! I have all my library on Apple Music. Is a pain in the a*# to prepare algorridim or Serato everytime Ineed to access my library. I have all the NI gear, but im not happy at all to have to deal with other software, because of this lack of integration. Im a clubbing Dj, but some times, Ido freelance at bars and wedding (who pays A LOT), and on those cases I need a service like Apple Musicon the go. And prepare everything for those cases is really anoying.
Absolutely — the integration of Apple Music with Serato, Engine, AlphaTheta, and rekordbox is a big step forward for the DJ community. It’s not just about convenience; it’s reshaping how DJs access and perform with music. With digital music distribution evolving so rapidly, it's surprising Traktor hasn’t jumped on this yet. They really need to catch up before they fall too far behind.
Not having full Apple Music integration in Traktor Pro — including the ability to play not just offline, downloaded tracks — puts it at a serious disadvantage compared to other major DJ software platforms. Serato, Rekordbox, and Algoriddim djay have all made the move, and for good reason.
Let’s face it: the majority of open-format DJs today rely on Apple Music to buy tracks andor organize their music libraries. For them, seamless integration isn’t a luxury — it’s a core part of their workflow.
Of course, I understand this isn’t purely a technical challenge. Licensing and legal negotiations with Apple are complex and time-consuming. But the fact that other platforms have already achieved this proves it’s not only possible — it’s worth the effort.
If Native Instruments wants to stay competitive and relevant for open-format DJs, Apple Music integration should be a clear priority. It would be a meaningful feature — and a compelling selling point — for the next release of Traktor Pro.
Edit: removed double post (and complete bold type while i was at it).
NI will be aware of this disadvantage. As Beatport and Beatsource streaming are already integrated it shouldn't be much of a technical issues to integrate Apple Music. But looking at Traktor release cycles makes the impression to me that there isn't much of developer capacity for Traktor. It is three month ago we saw the last update - and not even any bug of this version got fixed by now.
Legal issues may be another issue. But after not mentioning Traktor at all in the last community update questions on Traktor got answered with it will be a great year for Traktor. 7 month gone just 5 to go to prove this words true.
