Maschine 3 with older Mac ?

You need at least MacOS 13 (Ventura). If you don't have that then you won't be able to use Maschine 3 unfortunately.

IMO there's really no reason to feel left out, as Maschine 3 at this early stage is barely any different to Maschine 2 software.
I would also recommend putting details in your user profile of exactly which MacOS you're running, because at the moment it just says "Mac book"…

macOS backwards compatibility has been really disappointing in recent years for NI products. Especially compared to other companies such as Arturia, Ableton and Renoise. Even more remarkable looking at the incredibly slow update pace at NI (just look at the resolution of Maschine 3 on any HiDPI display such as any Mac from more than 10 years ago 🙃 ).

Don't blame NI - blame Apple.
As soon as they deem an OS to be "unsupported" - that means unsupported for everyone. (including all software vendors)
Why would any plugin vendor want to entertain any issues with an OS that they cannot ask Apple about?

Like I mentioned, other companies take a different approach, supporting (much) earlier macOS versions with their most recent software versions. So this has nothing to do with Apple's OS support.

Understood. Just not in this case.
Any company that chooses to support a retired OS - is going to have major challenges if they need support - and they all do at one point or another.

I suspect they'll have more challenges when more people run into issues because they don't even support OS's that are just a few years old.

Not disagreeing with you there.
NI's policy on Mac is pretty much identical as any other pro vendor that I use. Once an OS is dropped by Apple - support for the OS - is cut. Period.
If I owned a pro audio company whose products required specific OS support - this is exactly what I would do too.
I could not allow my company to suddenly be stuck with some technical support issue - that in effect - WE created - by allowing our products to run on an OS that has no support.
It makes no sense whatsoever.

Again, many other major audio software companies have different policies — while somehow also currently producing better quality products.

My God, even Serum 2 supports macOS High Sierra (10.13 from 2018), which has been released just one month ago.

That is your opinion - which you are welcome to - but that does not necessarily make it true. Espeically the part about "quality"
Bottom line here - if you do not like a given policy - that is on you to deal with.
The solution is very simple - don't use (or buy) the product.

Opinion vs opinion.
And if one opinion is defined not necessarily true, same must be said for the other opinion too

True dat. But that is not really what this is about.
This is really about another user who cannot accept the reality that time (and tech) has passed him by.
And it appears - doesn't like the two unbreakable rules that govern the computer/hardware/software world - where every product has a defined (and limited) lifespan and every product is subject to eventual (and guaranteed) retirement.

As you already know, since I always refute you on this, I think that is YOUR “reality”.
And, how he already told you three times, other companies do different, which is a tip that THAT reality isn’t so real, in the end

Understood. But please - stick to your reality - refute what you want, believe what you want, use what you want and by all means - argue all you want about the "unfairness" of it all.
The only reality (with respect to the spirit of this original thread) that matters - is whenever purchasing a Mac - always know that its "best before date" begins rapidly approaching the second you open the carton.
Apple will dump your OS along with all support for it (and eventually - that fancy hardware) just like they always have.
