[FIX] LORES – Some Preset Layers Not Working

If you're experiencing issues with certain Lores presets where layers aren’t working, I’ve found a simple workaround.

I encountered this issue in the The Woods Are Listening preset, specifically with the first instrument, Cello, when trying to add the Shorts articulation:

The issue was that the Shorts articulation wasn’t playing at all. Since there’s no triggering condition set for this articulation, it should have played regardless of expression or velocity.

The Solution

To fix it, I used the Instrument Inspector to set the A Gentle Soul preset on the Cello:

Then, I configured the layers with the Shorts articulation, and it started working:

The only caveat is that the exact same set of articulations isn’t available, but you might find them in other presets.
