Questions about Kontrol S61 MK3 before buying

Im interested in the Kontrol S61 MK3 keyboard but had some questions.


How dependent on the Komplete Kontrol software is the MK3? I like Kontakt and was excited to see you can use it on this keyboard but really hate Komplete Kontrol.

If I have NKS plugins open in my DAW, do I get the on screen control functionality on the keyboard? Or do I have to be running the plugins through Komplete Kontrol software for that to work?

    Apart from Kontakt you have to be running them in Komplete Kontrol
