Action Strings 2 and Action Woodwinds doesn't load patterns after clicked

Hello everyone!

I have a surprising issue here I need some help solving. I recently subscribed to the 360 deal with NI, giving me access to Action Strings 2, Action Woodwinds and other plugins. Till now, all the other plugins have worked fine except for Action Strings 2 and Action Woodwinds. The issue is that whenever I try to click/add another rhythm or pattern, it remains at the default pattern when first opened up. The name of the pattern changes, but nothing else happens.

I have tried to purge the samples. This fixes the issue 1 out of every 7-8 attempt, so I dont consider it a fix. I am currently using FL Studio as my DAW through my Mac M2 Pro with 16GB memory. The plugins have all been installed to my 5TB Lacie (never had an issue with this either).

I read that some people have experienced some issues with "older" NI plugins used through Kontakt 8, but I dont know what causes this issue. If someone has any tips, advice or aid to give, I really appreciate it.

Have you tried to open the libraries in Kontakt in standalone? Do you get the same issue?

Sorry for the late reply and thank you so much for your reply.

I have tried to open Kontakt in standalone outside of FL and it works perfectly there.

I tried giving Kontakt (and NI plugins) full disk access and it "kinda" solved the issue. The patterns do change, but I have to click on the new pattern once, return (then it's still the old pattern) and then find the new pattern again and click it - then it works. So it doesn't fully solve the issue, but it improves it slightly because I do get to change the pattern, it just takes more work.

If you have any other tips on how to make it perform as if Kontakt was in standalone, please let me know. I really want to have this issue resolved.

Other things to check :

Disks must be of correct format : Notes on Network Drives and Disk Formats

And quote Kymeia : if using Sequoia then N.I. apps must be added to the Local Network

Hey and thanks for a reply.

I am storing my NI instruments and plugins in an external LaCie external hardrive linked via USB-C. Based on the article you linked, that should be a good enough format for storage and wouldn't cause any issue from what I read.

Regarding access to local network; I checked it out but I couldn't find any NI apps on the list and couldn't figure out how to add them into the local network list of apps either. Ive also never encountered any of those apps requesting access from what I can remember - so I dont know.

Open to more suggestions here and I appreciate everything!!

If this happens only in FL Studio, it's probably a setting in FL Studio, can you check this? My Kontakt Instrument Is Out of Sync in FL Studio
