This process works going from Kontakt 7 to 8 (in Logic 11). Does it work for Guitar Rig? After the Kontakt 7 plugin is completely removed from the system Logic 11 replaces all instances of K7 with K8. A very useful feature!
Logic (and a few other DAWs) have Kontakt auto-migration - but I have never heard that being valid for GR.
