Komplete Kontrol can't find plugins

First of all, I spent HOURS trying to update Komplete Kontrol. It was a nightmare and none of the official "support" articles were helpful. They had me deep diving into parts of Windows I didn't know existed. Finally got it installed with the help of a user on here.

Anyway, after all that, now it won't load most of my instruments. I've rescanned libraries, deleted app data, even did a reinstall of KK. Nothing has worked. I've spent thousands of dollars and probably as many hours fiddling with the software.

I just want the stuff to work!

Any help would be appreciated. I've looked all over the forums and tried juat about every "solution".

There is your problem - you need to have the Kontakt plugin working inside Komplete Kontrol - doesn’t matter if it’s player or full - it is required to load your Kontakt libraries which is why they are saying ‘plugin not found’

Normally, this should be really easy. You are on Windows right?

Please go and check manually in your disc, at: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3,
if Kontakt 8.vst3 is there. It should be there! If not, then simply, it is not installed.

Note: Also, if by any chance you put VST3's on another folders, please do not.
If so, move them all, to the above folder.

Now, open Komplete Kontrol and go to Preferences > Plugins > Locations.
Make sure the default location is there.

Then go to > Plugins > Manager and make sure that, at least the first 2 options are enabled!

If you do not have anymore VST2's deactivate the last option, is useless.

Also make sure that Kontakt 8.vst3 appears in the list and it is enabled (as you see in the above photo).

If not, then it is not installed, even if the Kontakt app is.

Finally click the Rescan option on the right, and wait to finish.

If all the above are fulfilled, it is impossible to not work. It will.

Please be aware that all the above must be done in Komplete Kontrol stand alone, not in the plugin.

Yes this is an issue for me also today I tried to run it as a plugin in fl studio but it couldn't load the plugins only the internal sampler so I loaded the standalone - this scanned for plugins on startup but couldn't get midway through the plugin scan, always getting hung up I thought it may be due to how many plugins I had so I put some of the vst3s in sub folders but it is still getting stuck it almost seems like it wasn't built to handle scanning thousands of plugins. It just stops working after it gets through a 500-1000 of them.

I see that the plugin scan has been buggy for a long time now, it is really unfortunate as I think it works but it just freezes up rather than put up an error screen there is no way to bypass etc… I use a lot of software and errors during scans are not uncommon but this freeze up makes the whole thing useless as there is no way to finish scanning. The only real option is perhaps a registry change to change the vst3 folder or simply copying the contents of vst3 to another folder so it can quickly get past the scan process then dump them back in for my other software to use. So I renammed VST3 folder to VST3b and make a folder called VST3 that was empty and it seems to be scanning other folders now lets see if it makes it through. No Dice still got caught up. probably on some vst2 folder now not sure, it doesn't even show what directly it is scanning which is problematic for trouble shooting. VERY buggy scanner.

Oddly, everything seems to load fine in the individual apps. It all loads fine in Kontact, Reactor, etc. but none of the controls are auto-mapped on my M32.

Hmm I know I had to select the mapping within the plugin for the fl key 49. It wasn't auto detected what controller was being used. There is a mapping tool also not sure if you would need to use that to do your mappings.

What I have found is in standalone it is possible to get through the scan by renaming the VST2 and VST3 folders to VST2b and VST3b. Currently the only real bug I have found is that it is incapable of making it through plugin scans. I am about fed up with attempting to get it to scan through the plugins so they can be used in Komplete Kontrol. I Noticed that once I got into the plugin by letting it scan the empty VST3 and VST2 folders rather htan the ones that were were renamed the scan does show popups for some plugin errors but they seem to back log the memfile and plugin info screens seem behind the scan process causing it to jam up. Its like it isn't able to keep up with providing the error popups because you have to close the last one for the next one to show like if you hold down a keyboard key until it makes noise and the buffer fills then it logs out.. it almost feels like the way the error popups are being dealt is filling a buffer and crashing the scan when it fills or something. Essentially no error popups are served when the plugin is loading. Its buggy. I am guessing there will be some service they don't say is required that is required, all these companies should be listing every single windows service their software depends on to run so it can be trouble shot.

You need to clarify "won't load most of my instruments"

Do you mean, they do not appear in the browser to be loaded, or you select a preset and it does not load (assume an error is displayed)?

If you do not load a preset via the NKS browser, the controls wont auto map because that info is in the NKS preset file.

Can you also give an example of an instrument that wont load and the steps or screenshots of how you are trying to attempt to load? Instruments need to be NKS compatible so if it is not a Native Instruments instrument, it may not be NKS compatible and you may need a library, my signature has a link where you can get a lot of professional 3rd party libraries for most common instruments.

All NI instruments. They show in the browser but i get the "Plug-in not found. Please open standalone application to rescan, or rescan manually in the plug-in preferences." error.

I'm not in front of my computer right now but Kontact definitely won't load in KK but everything loads fine in Kontact standalone.

I know I can't use m32 mapping in standalone because of no NKS but that is the only way I can use my instruments.

Have you opened and tested all this using the standalone desktop application?

If the issue is Kontakt instruments, if you load up standalone KK (and leave it to scan on startup) does it list Kontakt in the plugin menu?

This is all done in standalone. I installed and updated everything with Native Access. I'm using Kontact 8 player. It works on its own but not inside KK.

Yes, I know what the problem is. I just don't know how to fix it.

I assume. Wouldn't Native Access install that automatically? If not, how would i do that?
