Why is Knotakt telling me to upgrade?? All of my AU/VSTs can run on older versions. Why is the software forcing an unwanted, paid upgrade??
Do you have a full version of Kontakt on your account or do you only have the Player version ?
You should be able to see any serials connected with your account on the MYPRODUCTS, SERIALS, AND DOWNLOADS page

is it telling you to upgrade or suggesting? K7 player does display an upgrade available sticker at the top right if I remember rightly.
AND. All 8Dio products require Kontakt Full. If you are attempting to run these in Player - you will see a timeout at 15 minutes.
Sounds to me like you have had Player all this time and finally hit a library that requires Full.

Can you give us a few more details? A paid K7 shouldn't turn into a demo, so something isn't right. What's the message you get when it's telling you to upgrade ?
Well, it is most likely a misunderstanding on my part. Been using the Studio Summer in K7 for over a year, no problem, but I just got a new 8Dio AU, and it gives me just an "upgrade" message after about 20 min. It is possible I have the Complete Knotrol license, and just thought it came with Kontakt.
AhAh, well this did answer my question. I think the root of the issue is I thought Complete Kntrol came with full Kontakt. However, I don't remember ever seeing an upgrade button before, so maybe that's why it was such a shock.
Thanks anyway everyone!!
And as to Vocalpoint, this is indeed my first 8Dio add on, and I didn't realize Kontakt would behave differently with non-NI AUs. Thought it wouldn't make a difference.
