Absynth not loading in Maschine 3.0, KK Mk3 (screenshot)
Is there a reason this plugin will not load any of it's presets?
Anyone else having this issue? Screenshot attached.

Well, I'm sorry that you got this answer from our support, we'll remind all our agents to be a bit more exhaustive in their answers. So yes, Absynth is indeed a legacy product, it's not officially supported on current Mac operating systems but it doesn't mean it will not work. One important thing to note though is that you would need to run your DAW in Rosetta mode in order to use it: How to Open Your DAW Using Rosetta

Absynth hasn't been updated for Apple Silicon as far as I'm aware, so it's very unlikely it'll work inside Maschine any more.

You need to be running KK or Maschine in Rosetta mode (and make sure you have the plugin path to VST2 plugins also enabled)

Thanks, everyone. I got a response from NI on this.

Could you share what the fix was? It could help others in the same situation.

Yes, they basically told me that if you want to run Absynth, you can't do it in the modern world. I'm baffled how a VI just stops working…. I write code. This is on purpose. I have Komplete on DVDs… that's how far I go back. MPCs still work. I was told to run older versions of everything which is a bit insane for something I paid for. Yeah, people don't "need" Absynth, but bro… I paid for it and I want to use it. It's like old equipment that stops working for no reason.

It's not stopped working "on purpose", technology changed. That's like saying software that was written for a G4 PowerMac was intentionally written to stop working on an M4 Mac. If you could find a G4 PowerMac you could still run it, same as you can still run Absynth on older computers.
The decision not to update it was on purpose, but that's a different thing. And a shame, I liked Absynth. Same as I liked Kore, which was so way ahead of its time that you could rebuild it now and it'd sell like hotcakes.

That's not correct though, I still have it running on Sequoia, it just needs to be run in Rosetta mode as I said above (and I also have an older Intel MacBook Air I run it on along with other software - some of which really doesn't work anymore on Sequoia)
