how can i stop my lenovo laptop crashing during my set

i am using using Lenovo Yoga 7. Problem was originally in windows 10, I upgraded to 11 and still the same. updated all my drivers. last time it happened NYE!!!! 4,5 HOURS INTO A SET, previously was only 2 hours . running 3 11 17 version using a s4 kontrol new last 6 months

open to suggestions to resolve .

The length of time you mention, my first thought was memory leak. If a plugin or process is improperly managing memory, over time this leads to too many resources being used and can cause crashes. Tracking down a memory leak could take a while.

I'm interested to know the crash behavior as much as @Uwe303 mentioned.

Hey, Thanks for the quick responses . The program just stops .Freezes and the laptop also freezes so the only option is a shutdown and restart. There are no crash logs so its not tracktor its the laptop

Woiuld the S4 MK 4 be to powerful for the laptop mains ? it was ok with other kontrols mk3 and 2

Does the program stop or does the whole computer stop (no menus, unable to bring up the task manager, etc). Does cont-alt-delete reboot the PC? Freezing can mean LOTS of different things.

Whole computer. So only option is restarting.

As far as I know the s4 mk3 needs a power supply. So an s4 mk4 if it will be released will most likely need a power supply too. Or maybe I understand you somehow wrong.

S4 is powerd with NI Power supply , the laptop has a 65 w Power supply and the program was fine for over a year . It just froze midset and had to be rebooted , no commands would work . took full 2 mins to back up but that's a long time to a packed venue . Laptop warrenty just ended a month ago …
