TIP Sequoia adds an extra step when installing NI Hardware (Keyboards or Maschine) and Native Access
I found when updating to Sequoia that Apple now requires many apps and processes to be added to the Local Network for them to function correctly and this seems to include NIHostIntegrationAgent as well as most DAWS, and things like iLok. (It did also ask me to add NTKDaemon but it looks like that is not required)
So if anyone is having problems with NI hardware or Native Access on Sequoia you need to enable this and don't discuss the popup asking for local network access (at least for NIHostIntegrationAgent). Apps requiring access should initiate a system popup asking for access, however it seems MacOs only adds items to the panel below when they attempt to access the local network, so if they are not doing that you won't get the popup. Once they have asked to be added though they appear in that panel and then you can then toggle the on/off switch.

I don’t have this in my local network panel on Sequoia and I have been trying for many hours to try to get native access to install any product whatsoever and I’ve tried every step I could find on the Internet

I presume you mean NTKDaemon - that's the one needed for install. Try shutting it down in Activity Monitor and then restarting. I found the popup asking to add it is sometimes a bit slow in initiating. If that fails maybe it can be deleted and Native Access reinstalled, making sure you allow all when asked?

Had CCleaner stopping a startup NI App

@Kymeia is correct…sequoia takes its time getting around to asking if you want to allow NKS agents access…

Yeah for me after I installed Sequoia it seemed like every time I rebooted there were another few apps asking if I wanted to add them. I think it gets initiated only when the app needs to do something that uses the local network- if they are doing nothing it doesn’t come up. In the case of DAWs it seemed to be mostly when I opened a plugin that needed an internet connection to “phone home” - of course that is where this can be useful if you want to limit such things - but certainly for things like host integration blocking network access for that just resulted in DAW integration no longer working.

Have you had any experience of KKontrol crashing logic? Seems to be when it tries to load certain presets or sounds…have seen a thread about some of those being legacy. More on this here
Over on Logic Pro Help…they're saying that the M32 kb should come up as an M32, not as an A or S Series. gonna try deleting controller prefs when I get back to studio later.

Please don't crosspost and keep it in the other thread.

This "Local Network" thing has not solved my problem.

Found some more information on how this feature works:
and also how it affects daemons and agents

If you haven't already, please post a separate post explaining what the issue is in more details.

No. CAN'T enable Local Network access manually in MacOS Sequoia.

Again, I'd like to reiterate the fact that we, the people who pay for software (that we assume will work), are not beta testers, software engineers, or partners in your product development…etc. We are people who expect YOU to SOLVE the problems that WE are SUBJECT TO.
DEAL WITH THE PROBLEMS.
