Ok so I bought Kontakt 7 but never seemed to work fine because some synths kept saying I dont have last version of Kontakt 7. Today I bought Kontakt 8 bundle because account showed it was best for me, i did that, got a serial and put it in and it said done. However, there is no Kontakt 8 in my library to install (?). My first question is: when I bought Kontakt 7 bundle, did that gave me a full version of Kontakt 7? My second question is: if so, why after buying the suggestec Kontakt 8 Its not available for me to install. Basicly I spend now 200 euro for kontakts to use synths but still I cannot do what I intended. Regards, Ar

    Hmm…

"Some synths kept saying I don't have last version of Kontakt 7"

This is usually caused by an old unsupported OS OR a messed up set of Kontakt library updates.

What exactly are you running for an OS over there? And what version of Kontakt 7 did you get stuck on? (before you started getting synths saying you needed a later version?)

First of all thank you for fast reply!

I found: License type full standalone (that answers my first question) version: 7.6.1 and I run this on Windows 10 home. For example Ethereal Earth instrument cannot load since it needs 7.7.x. I did in the past read about a known issue so I didn't bother anymore. Now Kontakt 8 upgrade got suggested to me so I bought that, thinking it would solve that previous issue. However, this Kontakt 8 I cannot even install because after buying, registering serial it just does not show..

Ok - next question - what version of Native Access are you running. If it is v1.14 - there is your problem.

Uninstall Native Access v1 and download the latest version here:

    https://www.native-instruments.com/en/specials/native-access-2/

Install this new version (confirm it is v3.16+) and login with your NI acct.

You should see some significant progress.

Unfortunately my current version is 3.16.0. To make sure I reinstalled via your link, however still same problem. Kontakt 8 nowhere to be found.

Another thing you need to check is the actual "version" of Windows 10.

There were about 18 of them since 2015.

For success across the board on Windows 10 here in Dec 2024 - you need to be running this version (22H2) and this build:

Great that VocalPoint was so alert with respect to the Windows version , not so great that you are having problems updating Windows.

While some Windows update problems can solved then others can be virtually impossible to fix.

Anyway my suggestion for fixing the Windows update problem is that you do an "in-place upgrade of Windows" , upgrading from Win 10 to Win 10 , that is just updating Windows to newer version. However since I can not take any responsibility for mishaps or problems that might occur then please take an drive image backup of the system drive prior to performing the "in-place upgrade of Windows" so that if you are unhappy with the result then you can just load the backup. Please use a tool such as this and do not forget to both make a boot media and also test both boot media and backup readability before continuing with the "in-place upgrade of Windows".

Check the following page for How to do an in-place upgrade of Windows.
