    Was using KK 3.2.1, no problem. updated to 3.3.3, and I'm getting a consistent crash when I load an instance of Komplete Kontrol in my DAW, and load Battery in KK. Running Cubase Pro 13.0.41, on Mac M2 Studio (Sonoma 14.7), there is an option, which i use regularly, "Always On Top" which keeps the plugin in view even if you are clicking in other area of the DAW interface. However, in that mode the plugin will disappear if other program windows (such as Splice app) are in focus. So, to drag sounds from Splice into Battery, I turn off "Always on Top", which allows the KK Battery plugin to be seen and accessed while loading samples.

    Since I updated to KK 3.3.3, turning on "Always on Top" will immediately crash the DAW - only with Battery, I cannot reproduce with other NI or 3rd party plugins. Battery is at current version, have not updated that recently.

    I would gladly roll back to KK 3.2.1 as I had no issues with that version. Can I do that?

    Hi,

    When I load Xfer Serum, it causes the DAW to blink.

    I'm not sure if this is from this version or not, but I'm reporting it here because I didn't have this problem before.
    It did not happen with other NI and 3rd party plugins I have.

    It's always blinking and not crashing so let me share it in a gif to explain the situation.

    I'd encourage anyone on this thread, particularly users of Apple M1 and M2 machines to try the following steps:

    • Make sure you've installed version 1.8.x of NI Hardware Connection Service (via Native Access 2).
    • Make sure you've installed version 1.8.x of the Kontrol S MK3 firmware (via this link)
    • Make sure you've installed the latest KK3, K7 and K8
    • If possible, run USB-C to USB-C rather than USB-C to USB-A
    • Connect an auxiliary power source (e.g. USB phone charger) to the power only USB input on the Kontrol S MK3
    • With everything connected, go to Logic Pro > Control Surfaces and click "Rebuild Defaults"

    And perhaps the most important step of all - particularly for certain chipsets: USB Hub instead of plugging directly in to your computer. This will bypass a common USB-C implementation issue on certain machines that affects peripherals.

    It's the same for me, Komplete Kontrol crashes occasionally when I load libraries in Cubase 13 Pro, or rather, Cubase crashes and sends me to the desktop. I believe I have taken all precautions, my S61 is updated with latest firmware, I have run Komplete Kontrol as standalone and rebuilt the library database. I think I'm missing the apeggio function when the S61 is not connected to my DAW, but it appears when Cubase is running. I've given up on switching between midi modes, so I can't get in touch with the editor. I'm kind of tired of having to play debugger, I'm sitting here making music!

    Hey all, this thread is getting confusing. You all seem to experience crashes on different setups with different symptoms or reproduction steps.     If you own a Kontrol MK3 keyboard, make sure to have the latest versions installed:

    Kontakt 7.10.6

    Kontakt 8.0.1

    Komplete Kontrol 3.3.3

    Hardware Connection Service 1.8.4

    Firmware of the keyboard: 1.8.4

    Also try these steps beforehand, it looks it wasn't shared before: Komplete Kontrol Crashes

    There is also a known issue with Battery 4 crashing Komplete Kontrol (KBDSW-7913)

    havin the exactly same problem here on Pro Tools.

    → If i wanna close the gui of a KK instance which is running Battery Pro Tools crashes.

    Probelm occurs only with battery.

    I would love to, but I can't get in touch with support. I can't log in at that specific page. But overall, if I load a 3. instance of Komple Control in Cubase (clean arrangement), I crasch, everytime. Further more, I can't connect to the Control Editor. The "connect" button are grayed out.

    Oh and regarding the ARP, this is normal, it's not yet possible to have it without the software at the moment. This will come in a future update.

    Alicias Electric Keys in KK still crashing. Crashes in Logic, Crashes in Luna. Any word on this? Thanks!

    How does the crash manifest? Please give a step by step. What's your operating system? Does it crash in Komplete Kontrol in standalone? In Kontakt in standalone? In Kontakt in Logic? What version of Kontakt are you using?

    Only happening in KK. In a DAW AND also in Standalone. Runs fine in K8 DAW and Standalone

    Latest versions of KK and K8

    I simply load the plugin through KK…. you can tell it's not right because the knobs don't load to the screen and the piano animation doesn't happen. I'll start playing the instrument and boom, completely crashes Logic and also Luna. Acts the same in either DAW. Also just tried in Ableton 12.1 and also crashed.

    Ok I ran it in Standalone and it DOES work for about 5 minutes. But then also crashes. Seems like a memory leak possibly?

    I have uninstalled and reinstalled. Same thing.

    I didn't receive anything in the email, please double check. Sometimes if the file is too big it can't be attached to the email and you need to send it with a dropbox or Googledrive link.
