Kontakt 8 Standalone Missing?

I seem to be missing the stand-alone version of Kontakt 8 in the Mac Applications folder (Sonoma 14.6.1). Previous versions are there and were installed when the plugin versions were installed, but not today with Kontakt 8. How do I fix this?? K8 is working fine in Cubase 13 Pro though.

Hello frankE, these kind of issues happened due to the traffic in our systems in the Komplete 15 launching. Does the issue still persists?

    Please let me know☺️

As of late last night, yes, the standalone version was still missing. Strangely, after a reinstall of K8, I could open the app using the “Open” button that appears in Native Access, but the app still didn’t appear in Applications along with previous versions.

It's there for me but was installed in a new Native Instruments applications group instead of the one that was already there so I had to move it across to the original one

Only one NI folder in my Applications folder and it’s definitely not there. Also did a search for it and nothing had been added to Applications lately. So definitely missing.

Finally…the 3rd re-install this morning (but the first one today) and K8 is now where it should be in my Applications folder. It must have been a server glitch as suggested above. Thanks everyone for trying to help.

Click the Windows start button at the bottom left of your screen.

Type "%localappdata%" and click the option that appears.

Navigate to the Native Instruments folder.

Delete the folder "Kontakt 7" or "Kontakt 8".

Start Kontakt 7 / 8 as a standalone application (not in your DAW)

Thank you, but as mentioned, I'm on Mac, so none of that applies. Problem solved, as reported above, but than you very much for offering assistance. Cheers!

    1. Hold down the alt key on your computer's keyboard and click Go in the Finder menu bar. Choose the appearing Library entry in the drop-down menu.
    1. Navigate to Application Support > Native Instruments.
    2. Delete the folder "Kontakt 7" or "Kontakt 8".
    3. Start Kontakt 7 / 8 as a standalone application (not in your DAW).

Thank you again, but please note the problem has been SOLVED, and that suggestion is not directly related to what I reported. Much appreciated though!

There is an NI executable to uninstall the product in question correctly and then reinstall it correctly. You have to ask NI because I use the Windows one.

I also have a problem... lol
