Hi,

I think the display viewing angle on the S88 Mk2 is pretty poor.

The colour and contrast are so much better when the screens are viewed from directly above. I realise this is to be expected but sitting at the piano the screens are always viewed at quite a shallow angle.

I was wondering if the Mk3 screens have improved viewing angles ?

If you are sitting in front of the keyboard, how can you not be viewing it from directly above?

I can't answer your question because I went from MK1 to MK3. But the MK3 looks quite good to me.

I find ( on the S88 MK2 ) a big difference between looking at the displays normally and looking at 90degs.

I was hoping the MK3 would be better than the MK2

I can't compare because I don't have a MK2; I have MK1 and MK3.

But even if I did have a MK2, I might still not be able to say, especially if your body and mine are different sizes and we have different chairs, etc.

But I CAN make a suggestion. Can you see one in a music equipment store near you? If so, then maybe you can find a chair and a stand and maybe figure out if it is going to work for you.

David, I must admit. I DO wish they'd have angled the screens a bit on the MK3. The new screens look amazing but only if you're staring at them straight down, from above. I'm honestly in the middle of building something that will put my 61 MK3 at an angle on my desk, so the screen looks as good as it is.

Thanks for your observation.

It looks like nothing has improved Mk2 to Mk3.

It seems a shame that the best looking display is only obtainable by angling the display, 30 degrees is my guess, maybe more.
