Missin Layout in Traktor 3

Hello,

On a new TRaktor installation I only have the default layout.

I checked on Win Explorer and I can see all the layout in the settings folder.

In Traktor if I try to add a new layout I only have the option to reupload the default layout, I cannot browse for anything else.

Can anyone advise how to fix this situation?

You could try this:

Start a version with all the layouts.
Go to Preferences. At the bottom hit EXPORT. Select ALL check boxes.
Exit.
Start 3.11.1. Got to Preferences, hit IMPORT. Select either ALL, or only those you want to import, preferably the one that contains the layouts (not sure about all the checkbox names atm).

In the Traktor folder (you can access by right-clicking on the shortcut and go to source folder), there is a subfolder called Backup. In there are all previously installed versions, including the old Traktor.exe files, which you can execute to start the old version.

When I click on add, it give me the options of all the different default types. Does it not for you?

Unfortunately not. Thats the issue. Only gives me the option to load thedefault profile..very weir

Check the file directories in File Management.

the files are all visible in Win Explorer, that is also very strange…

What i meant was:

Check the file paths in 'Traktor Preferences WIndow → File Management Tab'.

the root directory is Traktor 3.11.1 . What else can I check?

Go to explorer:

'C:\ProgramData\Native Instruments\Traktor Pro 3\Factory Settings'

There is (or should be) a folder called '3.11.1'. Check it's contents. If there is less content than for the other version numbered folders, copy the fuller content folder into the 3.11.1 folder. If the 3.11.1 folder is missing, create a new 3.11.1 folder with the same content as the last working version.

The 30.10.1 and 30.11.1 folder looks identical. I cant find any differences..

I have tried also reinstalling but the result is exaclty the same…not sure what else to try..

Have you tried to run the setup wizard?

I though there was a way to import them :/ But I don't remember the details.

Anyway, you can always create your own layouts.

Hi Carlos,

Yes there is an add button but it does not show the other layout to import, only the 2 decks which I already have.

I dont want to create my own, I want the SW to work as designed.

Hi,

In explorer I see the files from the previous version but I dont have an option to lauch that version. How would I do that?
