Hey man, I feel exactly the same. I've contacted Apple support, and they escalated it. Everything is pointing towards the graphic drivers for ultrawide displays in Sonoma. Native Instruments might also be responsible for the crashing, and it must be investigated and addressed as a priority. It crashes only on ultrawide monitors; it works on other displays normally and it's happening even on the standalone version. It would be great if everyone who is experiencing these crashes would submit a ticket to NI Support. A lot of people, including myself, make music professionally, and it is an impossible obstacle in the workflow, making it impossible to work in built-in studios with ultrawide monitors.

Well, I don't have any ultrawide monitors. But I never got any crashes, just the behavior I explained.

One thing I cannot stress enough that I realized today. Never ever run that tool they send you the link to making it look like a diagnostic tool. I ran it, but before I sent it I thought I would check what was on it. And I see a lot of files in it, in most cases related to them or at least to the music software I have on my computer.

But there was at least a file that had thousands of lines, and I start seeing references to paths in my filesystem that have nothing to do with Native Instruments, or even my DAWs. They were installers for programs that had nothing to do with music, or other files that were mine. I kept scrolling down and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Especially when many of those files had paths to my external drives.

Now, while I installed some of my sample libraries to my external drives, there is one of those drives that doesn't have any VSTis at all. And this Systeminfo.txt file has several references to it, including files that are not even remotely related to Native Instruments or any VSTis. Just to name a few, it points to a very old installer of a 3D software called Modo from 2014 or so, then to an installation of Automatic1111, which is a Stable Diffusion client (AI generated imagery), and an installer for a Final Cut Pro X plugin that is a video FX, not audio.

Why would Native Instruments need information about files that have nothing to do with them? At first glance when you see the folders and files contained in them, you don't see anything suspicious, since they have a long list of .plist and other files with the names of the Native Instruments VSTis and all the other VSTs and VSTis installed in the system. I don't have a problem with that.

But when you dig deeper, you see files that have no reason at all to be there. That has a name, it's called Spyware. As in, they're spying on the contents of my machine. So no chance in hell I'm going to send this to them, and neither should you.

I have rolled back to 7.9, which works better. Now when I open older projects where I initially used kontakt 7.10.0 I get a pop up telling me that the library won't load. I am not able to find the preset anymore…

What should I do : update once again and save the presets ? Then downgrade again ?

Anyone have found a better solution ?

Please Native, don't do this again, we are losing a lot of time in our daily job.

@pazpatu This thread is not so new and was very specific to one issue, issue now resolved. Latest Kontakt update is 7.10.5 and available in Native Access. Please update, carry out these steps if needed: Kontakt Crashes

If that doesn't help, it'll be better to create a dedicated thread with your iissue and as many details as possible, you can also contact support here: https://bit.ly/NI_support_kontakt

Thank you @Jeremy_NI ! I rolled back to 7.9 and it seems to work without the problems I had with 7.10 until 7.10.5 (Cubase projects did not always open and the DAW was almost unusable, like if it was out of CPU power).

I will comeback to the contact support if I have any new problems.

    Thanks again for your response.
