is there a difference between an nks preset and a patch preset? if so where do you access that. all i can find is the save as which seems to save the whole preset.

there are a lot of presets. it takes a couple minutes to remap the plugin. I was imagining i could remap the plugin seperately from each preset.

You should just need to setup the mapping once - save that as a NKS template, then every other patch you load in that plugin and save as NKS will also have that mapping. You don’t need to do it every time.

Click on the 3 dots and go to file, save, give it a name and it automatically gets saved to the User Folder for the particular plugin you have loaded. To reload just go to the plugin in the KK browser and you will find it in the user section

maybe make a youtube video on this lol. i did that and it saves the patch along with the mapping, but if i have another preset that i want to apply that mapping to without remapping it again?

If you change the patch in the plugin the mapping shouldn't change so just save that patch as NKS too. The mapping would only change if you load a different plugin from the KK browser or load the plugin directly from the plugin loader (in which case it wouldn't have any mapping by default)
